What I learned…umm… So much. The Youtube world is so infectious with all its hype. It make people doubt what they know and spend money on things they already know isn’t better than what they have. It’s really funny how important it is to think like everyone else. It’s like it’s the last thing people want: to be their own mind and stand on their own experiences. It is just too important to fit in that we all compromise ourselves sometimes. And even when you guard against it, you find that sometimes you can have an effect on others.

Let me get this out of the way now…there is no other earphone better (as a total overall acore) than the wf-1000xm4. Find me the earphone that sounds like this, has the app like this, good phone call ability, Supreme Noise Canceling, amazing touch controls, Google voice integrated, battery life, wireless charging, comfortable with venting, has the highest codec Ldac at 990 bit without compromise connection or stability and look as good as these. You can’t!

Sure, if I want the absolute best sound in the world …I would go with my wired Moondrop Blessing 2. But they don’t have ANC, not wireless, not good for phone calls, no eq or app, and no touch controls, and no Google integration. If I want to spend low on earphones, I could go with the Soundcore Liberty 3 pros. But they can’t use higher tier bit rate LDAC without dropping connection, they don’t have the battery life like the Sonys, the touch controls as smooth as the Sonys, no Google voice integration, and weaker ANC ,weaker hear through ability, weaker phone quality and sync of words on video.

I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that nothing aligns itself up as powerful, feature rich, and delivers on promises like the Sonys xm4s. I knew this and still wanted to believe other’s hype about other earphones. I wanted to believe that somehow, the latest one that came out was better than the Xm4’s because the Sonys were older. The bottom line is that nothing in the earphone world equals this unit until Sony is ready for the xm5. And I knew this and shouldn’t have never second guessed myself and the facts just because everyone was so impressed with a new earphone that merely had stronger bass and similar app approach at a lower cost(aka liberty 3 pros). And that is the part that made people jump instead of looking at the whole picture. You can’t lose in 6 different areas of focus and win only two and think it’s the best. Sorry to disappoint, but the Only King of Earphone still stands today as the best for headphones and earphones.
