So let’s get this out of the way shall we? People…stop lying on your videos and comparisons. Airpod max are not better sounding than the Sony X5’s. And no, it doesn’t matter what you use unlike the lies being pushed out. All these apple blind supports need to hold on to the notion that the $600 headphone they bought sounds better when they don’t. Using the airpods Max in a A/B scenario only exposes the Airpods lack of dynamic and volume.

Omg…the Airpods using a IOS devices to test them vs an android phone and the x5 and it didn’t even come close with my settings. The Airpod Max were muffled(no matter what setting I used), weight extremely heavy and clamping force way to much when comparing this to the X5’s. And on top of that they are extremely hard to drive as it takes like 30% more volume to get any matched details and dynamics present on the X5’s. And it doesn’t matter what genre you play. Everything sounds better on the X5’s. From podcast, audio books, asmr, orchestra, rap, rock, edm, and even alternative music.

It all just has good imaging and details with cleaner and more pronounced balanced sub bass and mids. Vocals are very smooth and present in all songs and the Soundstage(or Bluetooth devices) is pretty nicely done. Lastly we shouldn’t have to say this but the ANC king of the world is the Sony X5’s. But with that advantage comes the best phone call quality as well and all this for $399 not the apple price of $499 or $599 mrp. So do yourself a favor …just buy the X5’s or wait on apples answer to the X5’s. But for goodness sake don’t by the airpod max now, it is no longer the best on any platform. So don’t fall for the whole ..get airpod max if you have a iPhone. Even if you have the iPhone, the Sony xm5’s are still the best on that platform too.
