Without a doubt, the Hifiman Edition XS matched with a clean AMP and DAC system like the L50/E50 has reshaped my life in Hifi. I’m seriously addicted to this combination. I go to bed and wake up looking forward to putting these headphones on and playing something through them. I have always loved sounds and music. It is my only get away from this life of trouble and chaos we see every day. The world is on a downward spiral to hell and I don’t understand it. All I want to do is get away from it and music is my way of doing such. So the way I feel about the instruments I use to accomplish this is no surprise to me. But the sure ability and accomplishment of Hifiman Edition XS was something that did shock me. Never in my life was I ever able to truly reach levels like this with any headphones. I always imagined this would one day happen but wasn’t sure if this level would be reached at anything short of $1000 just for the headphones. With the Hifiman XS coming in at $499 it brought a miracle price to performance ratio unseen by any other headphone available today. Never before has the truly High-level audio and scalability of a sound been at $499. And once you add the L50 and the E50 to the equation you get a complete end game system set up for $1000. The amp and Dac are the cleanest on the market and their measurement is on the same levels as $1000 DAC and amps. So gone are the days that you have to spend $1000 to get a completely dead noise floor or clean and powerful stats in the DAC and AMP of your choice. Now you can get a 789 thx which was dimmed the end gamer of all amps for less than $250.
Now, no longer does $1000 have a cut-off requirement for the starting prices of high-quality items. Great products exist for far less than $1000. Ultimately, what I am about to say…I say with a very careful tongue. As far as manmade objects, I have, what I consider the very first PERFECT PRODUCT AWARD given to my setup of the Hifiman XS and L50/E50 by Topping. There is not a single thing I can add or subject to these items to make them any better. They work as designed and are completely unique and irreplaceable for their ability and cost ratio. There is no stack better than this stack under $500. There is no headphone at or under $500 that is better than the Edition XS and most importantly every single moment I spent with this sound has been nothing short of nirvana. Hence the VERY FIRST PERFECT AWARD! I am seriously done and just done but Complete in Audiophile and Hifi systems. And as long as these products last…I am here for them.
