Well, every day in my life I learn something new or old that helps me become a more well-rounded person. I also learned throughout my life nothing is ever bulletproof nor is there any one thing that all people agree with. So as a primary Andriod user and one that has come from a plethora of different brands and styles the Airpods Pro’s 2 kinda surprised me. On one hand, I expected them to come out swinging for the fences for all Apple products. But what I was shocked with was just how the Android phones still bring Apple’s best foot forward with the Airpods. You see …I thought that the Airpods sound quality …if it had gotten better like they said, would only be heard if I was using an Apple phone. I thought if I used an Andriod phone the sound quality would be horrible or bland at best. The next thing that I thought would be compromised was Google Voice. I thought there was no way I could use this anymore if I switched to Airpods 2’s. And lastly was the ANC quality and the ability to switch from off …to on …to hear through. With all the focus on the new Chip set that Apple has placed inside it, I thought for sure it would be affected if I didn’t use my Apple products. So I tested this against my Ipad to see the difference in the areas. And what I found was there was no sound difference I experienced when I used my Samsung Phone vs my Ipad. In fact, you could say that the Samsung device allows you to change the sound quality inside its software to any device it’s connected to. So this is a benefit. So things like my ASMR, Podcast, Music, and Phone calls were still absolutely amazing and just as impressive as with any android earphone I have ever had.

I was then taken back when I discovered I could also use all the controls, like the volume up and down on my Andriod device. Forward and rewind along with the ability to switch noise modes all worked on my Android Phone just like they work on Apple phones. But of course, if you are looking forward to using Spacial Sounds for your music or movies …this is just not in the cards with Android. You also can’t see the battery life on your device unless you download an app for this. But other than this …no real deal breakers when you go to Android in my opinion because the sound, comfort, and battery life are the number 1 things. And speaking of battery life, you get 6 hours and 30 hours total on them according to Apple. So they get better results than even my Samsung Buds 2 pros in that department.

Overall, what I was faced with is keeping my both the Samsung and AirPods, returning the Airpods Pro 2’s, or returning my Samsung buds 2 Pro. This was not an easy choice. In fact… I thought it was going to be easier but this was a very hard choice. I thought because I had an android phone…this automatically meant that I would be happier with the Samsung Buds 2 pros. I thought this was going to serve as a way to test out the Airpods against the Buds 2 Pros so I could tell everyone just how the sound quality didn’t live up to the hype Apple pushed when compared to the Samsung Buds 2 Pros. But nothing like this took place. The Airpods 2 pros in some ways were better at sound than the Samsung buds 2 pros. I enjoyed the bass and highs with the clarity and space it delivered on. Now the Buds 2 Pros could easily be said to be better in areas over the Airpods too. But the 4 areas that really did it for me were the hear-through feature ability, the disappear fit, the ANC, and the 6 hours of battery life. Once they proved they would equal and exceed the Samsung’s in most areas for the sound, the other area like the fit, battery life, ANC, and hear-through started to make dents. Could I live without these…of course. Could I just remain with the Buds 2 pros and be happy….of course. But right now I have to make a choice to keep both or return one and I refuse to keep both. So……
