It’s been years folks. I’ve been away for a while and I will admit that I missed things. Apple products and followers have a tribe-like following. They are still dominating the world of tech somehow. Even though you no longer see the Apple lines that normally dominate the headlines anymore …they still have the majority of the market share, especially in earphones. They are on pace for 100 million AirPods sales this year, which is just stupid crazy numbers.

And I will say that if it wasn’t for the love of music and sound I probably wouldn’t be back with Apple yet. The AirPods are just fantastic to me. The venting and hear-through are unmatched by any other earphone in the world. And for me this…this makes this irreplaceable. I can wear earphones on planes without headaches and pressures building up inside my head and still keep noise-canceling present for the peace I want. The audio quality is also amazing when it comes to matching the Harmon curve, something only Samsung before now was able to accomplish. So when you add all the integration like effortless Siri communication and controls along with a dual connection to my iPad that allows me to go back and forth…it just feels complete.

I also was able to pick up a case by UAG, the Metropolis LT with Kevlar backing. This just popped off the phone.., making it look tougher and more mysterious. Anything I can add to make it look different from anybody else’s iPhone is always my top direction. My next step is to get the Apple Watch but right now I’m going to just try and enjoy my return into the ecosystem and get back to used to Apple Pay …Siri…cool accessories ….and cool features like spacial audio to blow my mind. I’m so far behind all the new things Apple is doing these days that I was taken aback by having widgets on my Home Screen layout :).

Now …nothing is perfect. So when I see things like iPhone 14 pro…I know something is not going to live up to the billing. And that something is the camera. Apple just didn’t do a great job with the camera on this phone compared to what I am able to do on my old Samsung 21 SE. I have to do far more editing on the iPhone Photos than on the Samsung phones. It’s like the iPhone has way too much grain in them and the colors aren’t really done right or something. I hope it’s just a matter of time before I get my feet under me and master the editing steps I need to take with this phone pretty fast. But right now I am a little disappointed with Apple’s photos. But the video however is a completely different result. I think what they have done with the image stability is so great. Never ever seen this type of stability ever on a phone and of course the Boca effects and focus ability is just flat-out movie quality. So I guess I will have to take the vegetables with the dessert in this. Overall I’m just content and happy so I will see where this journey takes me down the road. But for right now I’m just enjoying the overall ride.
