I’ve been an Android user for years. I have had one of their phones on my hip for so long that I had no idea what Apple software could do anymore vs any upgrades they had gone through. So in a very quick and very simple and easy step, I was gone. Gone away from Android in 1 day because I experienced only a portion of what the Airpods Pro’s 2 could do. Even before I had all the features that are linked to only Apple’s ecosystem and could only just listen to music…I was hooked. But once I got my iPhone 14 pro that same night after experiencing the Airpods Pro 2 for 1 hour…everything changed in my life. And below are the things, in no real order of importance over the others, but were responsible for this change.

  1. Siri
  2. Adaptive EQ
  3. Hear Through
  4. H2 chip integration
  5. Battery life
  6. Comfort

So with Siri, everyone should know by now that there is no better voice assistance on the planet better than Siri. And unlike google assistance which can’t even keep the Key phrase and tasks like sending a text message something universally available, Siri is dependable and reliable, and ingenious. The ability to announce my callers and simply ask if I want to speak with them was simple magic that blew my mind when it happened to me the first night of having the Airpods Pros 2.

Then this took me to the appreciation of Adaptive EQ. I had heard of it in passing or in commercials but I didn’t think anything of it. The Phrase…“Adjusts the frequencies of your music to deliver a rich, consistent experience that faithfully reproduces every note” to the now even more gripping phrase ” Built for from the sound up” is a combination that can’t be defeated. The mere fact that the chip makes audio decisions in frequency responses based on your own personal ear shape, type of music, and the environment is something no other earphone on the face of the earth can do. Taking that and adding more rich bass and musical instrument separation and clarity to the same earphone is just mindblowing.

Then this moves on to the Hear through feature of Apple. Something a great many earphone makers out there tried to copy, unsuccessfully I might add. But not Apple…No.. they took this concept and created it better than anyone, period. Their hear-thru feature is universally accepted as the greatest implementation of this ability. This ability creates a world unlike anything before it. The sound blends into your music and you become the world you are in and listening to at the same time. And at the correct volume…the experience becomes quite magical. Things like Podcasts and Asmr are something to behold and are flat out next level in the mind. Others can try as they might to try and duplicate but they all fail at the level of precession Apple has with it.

Then we move to the H2 chipset that gives Apple iPhone users unprecedented connection with the Airpods Pros even when they are not connected. Now you don’t have to connect the earphones via Bluetooth to see how much battery you have. You no longer have to wonder how much battery power you had left in the case or when it was back to fully being charged. All of this is right there on your iPhone at all times. They also have given you the ability to find your lost Airpods with a nice speaker that pushes sounds until you find it or a GPS locator to track it down that is perfectly accurate. And speaking of battery life…they added to that as well. Now you get 30 hours or more on the total charge times and 6 hours of use with an amazing quick charge with Magsafe case for the Airpods.

And finally….comfort. And not just any comfort. Sure there are some comfortable earphones out there. But how many of them float in your ear. These Airpods Pro’s float inside your earphones so perfectly that they aren’t there at times. You walk around with them in your ears for hours and never think about them because they are so natural to use and have in your ears.

At the end of the day…what I’m saying as a former Andriod user who has a ton of other earphones like the Sennheiser, Sonys, Master and dynamics, Jaybird, Jabra, Soundcore, and many others. This same Andriod user that’s now selling EVERY SINGLE earphone I have purchased in the last 2 years or more of my life. And I’m doing this because I can’t go back. I have been exposed to the joys of Apple and their integration and I can’t see how or why I would use anything but their brand, which is something that I wouldn’t have ever thought that I might say or feel but yet here I stand. There is just nothing else that can do these things I’ve mentioned above. Can you find an earphone that might have stronger bass, or more battery life? Sure but you can’t get me the total gambit of what apple can do completely. And that is what changed me from an Android user to an Apple user.
