Well with the good comes the bad I guess. Off the hills of the launch of all their products… Apple expected increase of expectations on sales and productions came to a pause. Apple said that they are not going to increase their production predictions for this year on the iPhone 14. This has led to many looking at the global economy to blame with fear of recessions. Others say it just a adjustment due to lack of chipsets and microprocessors.

And while I’m not some financial analyst of some sort, I do have common sense. The fact that apple has a expectation of hitting 90 million shipped iPhones this year means there are quiet a bit of people out there that aren’t slowing down on buying what they love still. Proof of this is the sales of the iPhone 14 pro which is selling very well still and cost more than the base model. So for me it’s not about money or lack there of. It could just be a product of having more demand on things that have more improvements vs others. Maybe the base model doesn’t have enough differences between them and the previous model. And people are just sticking with what they have if they can’t afford to move up to the Pro models. Maybe Apple should have done more for the iPhone base models than they initially believed. It’s literally the same design with a small adjustment to the colors and all but maybe they could have added a different look to the camera on the back or given better color choices. But that’s just me. I’ve been away from apple for years so picking up the iPhone 14 pro was still a generally all new experience for me. But I get how this might not be the case for others.
