With every launched product on the market I see the same thing. And iPhones are more notorious with hype more than any other. Every year the iPhone makes only small changes to its look and operation and yet the world accepts this and praises come from heaven it seems. Well this year there is no difference in their direction but the result might be different for some reason. You see, for the first time in a very long time …possibly ever, Apple’s strategy doesn’t make enough people forget that they only have minor changes.

People love feeling like they have the latest thing. And one of the primary ways this is accomplished is by its looks. Now Apples software already had limits on looks as all of it looks the same with only small controls on looks. But when you make the outside of the phone completely the same with only a dynamic island that separates last gen from new gen…you have problems with snobs and elitists alike who need everyone to know that they not only have a iPhone but the latest iPhone. And when you can’t do that you loose their excitement and support because they can’t really brag without telling others they have the 14 pro or 14 max. And when that happens sales get effected and hype falls away.

For me though…it’s all new to me. I don’t care about the difference of the 13 pro or the 12 before that. Last iPhone I had was X model and so all of this is all new to me. So I have zero complaints about my life with my iPhone 14 pro coming from android and the Old iPhone models. From the camera to the dynamic island and IOS 16 widgets and software upgrades… all of it is brand new. So complaints from me ain’t gonna happen. My battery life is more than I need and the looks is sexy for me. Gimmicks like the dynamic island are just nice touches for me. I’m happy to use them but they aren’t the reason why I bought the IPhone 14 pro. The AirPods Pro 2 were the reason and I haven’t looked back or considered any other direction. So, for all you others out there …yes, I would say to consider what you buying any product for and make the best choice for yourself. If you already have a iPhone 13 Pro, which seems to be the debated comparison, there might not be reason to buy the iPhone 14 pro. And if Apple lied about the battery life 1 hour addition over the 13 pro, then Apple should have to answer to this. I’m all for punishing companies for false advertising.
But outside from that I could care less because nothing the IPhone does or doesn’t do effects the road I traveled to get here because I didn’t come from the iPhone 13 Pro or even the Gen before that. And I guess this could be the reason the IPhone 14 is for me vs others. Maybe the market or target people should never have been the 13 pro owners and more about new owners coming from android or older iPhone models. This could have been better presented by an “S”. Maybe people could have properly identified this model better so they could make the best decision on picking it up or not. But then again…this would cost Apples sales and that’s the important goal in all of this I guess. Oh well!!
