One of the most surprising results of leaving behind the Xbox is an overwhelming feeling of stress relief I felt once I did. Once all my gaming focus was on PlayStation 5 and Sony, I noticed this strong intense relief of stress that I didn’t really understand was there. You see, what I notice is that not knowing which console to play or use for specific games and the headaches of disappoints when the console failed, crashed, and or wouldn’t turn on just caused my stress everyday with the Xbox series x. I never knew what to do to keep it from not working. I had made so many compromises from using only Wi-Fi when I wanted to watch a movie because for some reason fiber optics speeds causing buffering issues with the series x. Or being ready to crawl behind my tv stand to unplug the Xbox that is refused to cut on when I hit the controller power button. I forgot what it was like to just play games without worrying which console to buy my games from and if the Xbox was going to work today without more jury rigging or compromises. Best of all I don’t have to lie to myself anymore about what Microsoft’s direction is. I know for sure it doesn’t include gamers like me. They will never beat PlayStation in gaming innovation and will forever be stuck with subscriptions service focuses with pull toward pc and mobile over console owners. This is who they are. If first person shooter isn’t what you play 80% of your gaming life, which isn’t what I want, then Xbox is the last console in the world you want on your shelf. Like many, I was in faith behind the enthusiasm of Phil Spencer and their money. I believed that one day Microsoft would return to the days of Rise Son of Rome and Quantum break. Great single player, 3rd person view adventures and action games. But unfortunately this will never happen! They can’t even get out the games they promises over 3 years ago.

So for me and millions upon million, there really truly isn’t any other place to play games but on a PlayStation if you want the very best gaming exclusives on the planet and a console that works. Time after time…. Generation after generation, PlayStation dominates. More fans, more console sales, and more game purchases. They have a loyalty amongst developers and gamers alike and it doesn’t seem to be fading. So with that in mind… do I like Sony as a company?? No, I still don’t. Especially when they dominate sales. They get cocky and takes steps that are not in the best interest of the players. And if I had a choice I would replace their mind set with humbling that Microsoft shows on more than a couple of times throughout the years. But because they have no real threat still they will never stop this tendency. So the games and the console stability are all I can focus on with them and it makes up for it. As long as Spider-Man miles morales, Wolverine, Street fighter 6, FF16, and many more ride only on PlayStation..I am going ride with them too.
