Funny thing about time is that it reveals more and more things to you. And for me in gaming Steel Series gave me pause on longevity and really this still hasn’t changed but despite this, they have turned out to be the most dependable, best feeling, and longest battery life I’ve ever dealt with in gaming headphones. For starters, the Steel series 7p+ gets 60 hours of battery life,..not just the 40 hours advertised. The comfort and clamping force is so perfect thanks to the ski goggle band setup. It provides enough space in the ear-cups not to cramp your ears. And the build material is so solid and not cheap feeling.

I also really love the look of the Steel series headphones, especially the colors on the 7p+. Yes it reminds me of my ps5, which that in itself give me special feelings:). And while Steel Series makes headphones for multiple devices, I really like the usb c adaptor it uses for any device that can accept it. It also comes with the USB to C female connector for all other devices that only have USB. So your tablet, PC, or Switch are covered folks if you need to use the headphones on them. And even if you need a different color, steel series has you covered.

And next to sound and comfort comes the final department…mic quality. And I will say that I like the sound of the Steel Series, always have. Especially when you have a small thumb print for a mic that is retractible and yet still gives you the ability speak even when not out unlike some headphones who have permanent mics that are both long and fat. Steel series knows what people like wearing and they deliver.

At the end of the day, Steel series is known for greatness. There really isn’t a point to say anything different. Too many reviews claim other wise. However, I’m still not going to declare them the best for everyone as there are plenty of headphones out there still that are good for gaming for other peoples needs, and even more people just won’t like the look or feel of another headphone. There is no one single headphone for everyone so you have to do what is best for you. And sure I’m willing to bet if I wanted to keep buying headphones for gaming I could find others I like as well. But sooner or later you have to just grab what works for you and run with it.
