Well just as warned, Microsoft finally comes out and tells the world that games like Red fall, Forza, and Starfield will kick off their $70 price hike for the first party studios. And according to Microsoft …
“This price reflects the content, scale, and technical complexity of these titles. As with all games developed by our teams at Xbox, they will also be available with Game Pass the same day they launch.”
Which is the same lie Sony told. And just as I called bull rap on them, I’m calling bullcrap on Microsoft. The biggest lie both Sony and Microsoft have told us that somehow they are making bigger games and more advancements that cost more money. And yet games like No man sky, Red dead redemption, Witcher, Forza horizon, and many, many other multiple hour complicated programmed games only cost $60 and still have the same fps, graphics, HDR, lightening effects, and reflections,along with complex stories or gameplay. Nope, none of these lies that PlayStation or Xbox are pushing are the truth. This is about greed and nothing else. And yet fanboys will justify anything that allows them to sleep better at night. Now the only saving grace Microsoft has is The fact that all of these are due on game pass same day unlike Sonys none day one offering. So this tells me that Game pass price hike is next. And hopefully the Activision deal will pressure Sony for day one releases too.
