Man…I swear every time I look up I see articles about the Sennheisers momentum 4, the xm5, and the Max’s being compared to. I have already sold my Xm5’s. And while much respect still remains in my heart for them, I can see honestly that people would have a problem trying to decide over the Sennheiser M4’s vs Xm5’s. But where I will give the nod to the Sennheisers is their pads and more spacious cup design over the Xm5’s. However, just as soon as that nod comes the Apple Max’s toping all of them with the most spacious earcups …giving me the most space, comfort, and separation with clarity for all frequencies.

The difference is just so immediate and clear. The amount of clarity and soundstaging is better on the Airpod Max and it’s not even something you have to waste a lot of time trying to hear. You hear it immediately. You can enjoy any genre of music and any type of vocals or focus of tunes and the Airpods just flat out dominant on all fronts. I am really kinda shocked. I was expecting this battle between the Momentum 4’s and the Max’s. Others have compared them as though there is a challenge. I’m sorry I don’t see or hear it. The build quality and sound quality really places the Airpod Max on another level compared to the rest of market. And maybe people are comparing the Max’s on Android phones or something but if you put the Sennheiser on an Android with whatever EQ you want and the Airpod Max on a iphone ..the advantages still exist.

And God forbid you start adding all the other things up like Noise canceling ability, Transparency mode, and phone call quality, then you really have an outright demolished of the Momentum 4’s and the Xm5’s. It’s flat out no point at all comparing all the advantage Apple brings to the table as a whole with their devices vs what other give Android. There is just no way to even come close to all the ease of use the Apple products give each other over Android. Even the addition to have a button and turnable dial for the controls kills all the touch controls on the other headphones. It prevents accidental touches and gives you exact control over volume and other features. But at the end of day ..none of this matters if you don’t have a iPhone or the money to invest. So I can see how the Sennheiser are totally worth the price tag and would be my choice if I was stuck with Android phones because of the battery life but then again I see why so many people pick the Xm5’s because they still deliver top tier Noise canceling …as good as or better than anyone as well but the still want $400 for them at times and that’s a bunch of money as well. Overall, if this is simply about what is the best headphone regardless of money and you allowing them to be placed on their correct platform…the Airpod Max’s are the Champions without a doubt.
