Dude I have been on one hell of a rollercoaster ride with my IEMs. About 2 years ago I was done with IEM searches when I found the Blessing 2 Dusk. I knew no matter what happened that I was done with any other IEM after experiencing the sound of this IEM. And it wasn’t until a few months ago that I woke one morning to pop in my Dusk and the left driver had this fluttering, static, flapping sound from it once the bass came in on any song. And it would not stop. Tried new cables and everything but could stop it from sounding off. So I bought IEM after IEM to try and find something I could feel as happy with as I did with the Dusk.

And when the dusk settled and well over $1000 was spent buying and testing different IEM I ended up with a IEM that wasn’t even $300, the Aful Performer 5! I was so happy with what it brought to the table. It was the closest thing to remind me of the Dusk. But I still after over a year of trying to get the Dusk to work I went back to it one time and for some reason it completely worked. It was completely fixed out of the blue. Just as mysterious as the failure came about, was just as fast as the healing came. No hint of defect or sound problems after months of having issues.

I at first had it hooked up backward to the cord I bought. The left side driver cord was connected to the right and the sound was hurt by this mismatch. I thought the Aful P5 was actually tied or better. But once I hooked up the cords correctly the next day. All of a sudden, I have the Daywalker(hybrid) IEM blessing 2 dusk back up and running for me. And again it takes over as the best IEM. The timbre, tonality, and soundstage are all on a completely different level from anything I have ever heard. Being exposed to this IEM really helped me out things into perspective.

The soundstage and separation it creates is absolutely a spot on bullseye. The bass is the limit and richness I can not ever turn away from in IEM. And what I learned is that there are just some IEM that are made perfectly for a listener or audiophile and this is mine. I have never had a better experience in sound on a earphone or IEM and I’m not ashamed of this. But there is only One Daywalker IEM, the Moondrop blessing 2 Dusk and as long as it works, there will be no other IEM I want in my ears.

UPDATE :

Well I got 3 days out of them before the left side driver went out again. Three days of bliss and just like that..for no reason… left side went out again. I guess I’m not meant to have the perfect IEM. The only thing left is just to go back to the Aful Performer 5. It’s not a bad alternative at all. It’s still one of the very best IEM. It has the same amount of drivers and is more comfortable. And best of all…they work. Well, that went sideways. Driver um-balancement found in the Aful Performer 5.
