So my first Moondrop Blessing 2 Dusk failed on me for no reason whatsoever. I was very hard on this because I believed it to be the greatest IEM ever made. However, I just wasn’t willing or excited about having to spend almost $200 for just one left-side driver replacement. So I started buying other IEMs to test them in hopes of finding my replacement of the greatest IEM every made and I have had some great IEM’s sounds from the Oracle 2, Final Audio a5000, IE200, and even the Galileo by Gizaudio just to name a few. But after weeks and weeks of trials and return’s, I keep coming back to only one IEM group, the Blessings. So as a “blessing”, I was able to a open box Like new condition Blessing 2 for under $200. So instead of buying another Dusk left side for $170 plus tax …I was able to just go with the Blessing 2 open box in like new condition with all accessories.

And as you know, Moondrop has the Blessing 2, Blessing 2 Dusk, Blessing 3, and soon the Blessing 3 Dusk. So this weekend, hopefully, if all goes right, and the Blessing 3 show up tomorrow…I will have one of the best Shoot-outs in history. It will be the Blessing 2, vs Blessing Dusk (if I can get it to work long enough for the test)…vs the Blessing 3 to determine my END GAME IEM CHAMPION!!! I will say so far, being that this is my first time owning the regular Blessing 2, I kinda like it a little more than the dusk. Its a little more cleaner and the bass isn’t as heavy on the mids like the Dusk is. Although I do think that the Blessing 2 should maybe have just a bit more bass, I don’t believe the Dusk versions bass is needed. And it is there where I believe that the Blessing 3 might come in and stand out, but I will see. More to come soon! But as it stands right now I have to agree with the Super review about the Blessing 2 being the best IEM ever made for the things I look for in music, so far:) I think it provides a bit more soundstage and balance across all frequency ranges and unlike others who claim the only weakness is the sometime harsh treble, I hear no harshness in the upper Treble whatsoever. But this is still in the beginning hours of the unit and with the Blessing 3 possibly showing up tomorrow…I typically get more excited about the latest and greatest but within hours apart this might prove to be different and who knows maybe …just maybe the Blessing 2 stands champions even with the likes of the Blessing 3.

As fas the follow up on the Galileo finally conclusion. It is possibly one of the greatest $100 IEM on the market today. It is not the Blessing or even Kato lineup nor should it be expected to be. But what it does do is deliver killer vocals and nice neutral frequency in the mid and treble. Basically the basics but done at a level above it’s price point. It is also very beautiful and the cable is really nice. Someone could easily just buy this IEM and move on with their life as long as they don’t try other things like a Blessing 2 lineup or a Thieaudio Oracle 2. My failure is that I have had all these IEMs and because of that…the Galileo, even though good for its price, never created the magic like the others did for my ears because I actually had to the experience with them. If I hadn’t I probably could just ride with these and be continent. More to come though.
