Comfort:
The blessing 2, Dusk, and blessing 3 may have the same DNA or root design, but they all fit me different. But of them all the Blessing 2 fits me the best. The second place goes to the Blessing 3 even though it has the smaller nozzle. And last place is the dusk blessing 2. It was never my favorite in its fit for some reason. Couldn’t wear it longer than a hour.
Vocals:
Vocals were a hard subject because all of the Blessings do a great job at it. But if I had to pick one over the others it would be the Blessing 3 perhaps by a very small margin due to its higher treble details that show up in the small syllables in words. Next up would be the blessing 2 followed up by the Dusk. But again I want to state again how good all models are at this category.
Bass:
And we now move to Bass. There should be no question in you mind which one has the most bass. The Dusk blessing 2 holds the crown for bass amongst its siblings. Followed by the Blessing 2 OG, and finally the Blessing 3. But with that bass advantage of the Dusk, one could make the case that it’s nature of bass can hurt the overall clarity of the mids or treble. And to that one may easily pick the Blessing 2 OG or even the Blessing 3 depending on your ear because while they both are missing the quantity, the quality isn’t in question.
Treble :
And with that said, possibly the easiest win of the night category, treble. The blessing 3 runs away with this. It’s possibly the biggest advantage and quickest win of all the measurements. The clarity and its resolution is unmatched by any of its brothers, not even close. If you looking for treble and details, this Blessing stand on top by itself. Next would fall to the Blessing 2 Og and last place would be the Dusk.
Mid range :
The mid range is the most competitor of all of them. They all do such a great job in this realm. The timbre a realistic tones and underlining details in the mids are so masterful for the blessing 2 and blessing 3 frequency response. It’s no wonder why it’s a tie. They all have the almost flat neutral mid range that I love so I love them all for this category.
Looks:
The blessing 2 and Dusk get the tie here. They both rock the more durable and less fingerprinted face plate over the Blessing 3. They look much better in the ears and don’t stand out as much as the blessing 3 does. And when the scratches form on the blessing 3, most people aren’t going to be so proud of having them or taking them out. The brushed steel look is just more pleasant in my sight and it’s something I don’t have to worry about.
Cost;
The blessing 2 and blessing 3 have the same MSRP. However, the blessing 2 and dusk you can find cheaper due to age and new version being on the market. And of the two the blessing 2 OG is the one you can typically get for less. I got mine for $180 in like new condition. So I would say that this category belongs to the Blessing 2 OG even though all of them punch above their price range in performance and $300 is a steal for them, being able to get the Og for under $200 is a greater result.
Soundstage:
Soundstage is next up. And while IEMs don’t really focus as much on this..the blessing lineup has a nice one. But if I’m honest, the blessing 3 is a clear overwhelming victor in this category as well. It stands out quick and fast at it’s approach. The width and height is much larger than it’s brothers. And because of this things seem to have of a 3D effect. Which makes things like podcast and ASMR a little better.
Cable :
And finally we have the Cable. Something a lot of people fail to think about but it is so important. Cables can make wearing your IEM a joy or a pain. Yes you can get a new cable and problem solved, which is why I rank this last and only for 1/2 point. But in terms of overall package it helps complete things off for me. And nothing bothers me more than cable without chin adjusters and straight adapters. And unfortunately, the Only Blessing of the trinity that delivers this is the Blessing 3. All the others are missing both of my most looked for quality in cables.
