I think it’s been enough time to confirm what I have already confirmed before. And that is the Hifiman edition XS is the greatest headphone ever made! Hifiman messed up when they created this product because it truly makes all other headphone in price to performance irrelevant. There is not a single headphone on this planet that does what this does for the price that it is charging. Yes, you can be brand loyal all you want and you can talk yourself into whatever lie you need to sleep better at night about spending thousands of dollars on headphones simply to get 5% more sound out it all you want. The point is, is that it’s useless. Nothing you can buy on the market today in Audiophile headphones can beat what this headphone can do at it’s price and performance balance, especially when you add on the option to use Peace EQ for your setup. Whatever sound you want, you can get if you want something more than what the default sound of the Edition XS does, which will be far and away very little if not anything at all.

Once you get this headphone with a good Amp and DAC with the Peace EQ on your setup…there are no limits. There is nothing you can’t dream off that doesn’t become a reality in sound. The soundstage and space it creates is on a grand scale matching most if not all of the 1-2 thousand dollar headphones out there in the world and that’s without EQ. The comfort is flat out outstanding with how the ear-cups shapes to your face and wraps around your ears. You have so much room inside and the sound is so tall thanks to the shape of the ear-cups that it becomes another world, all around you. The vocals and Timber is absolutely perfect. The mids are the perfect balance of warmth and details it will blow your mind. And finally the Treble is perfectly natural without any unnatural moments of spikes. Even the quality of the material used will last you forever. Mine still looks like new without a single sign of wear after all this time of use. So if you even halfway considered buying these, stop considering and just buy them. They are well worth every single penny spent on them and easily my best piece of sound tech in my house.
