Well I don’t have a bunch of things to say that I haven’t expressed before in other Earphones that I find exciting. But I will do my best to express my view here because it’s a little different. And unlike my previous view on Bluetooth products vs IEM’s, this has a little more credit for the bluetooth side of things.

For starters the chosen nickname “Ikaris”. I went with the limited edition blue and gold for the first time in my tech life. I typically don’t buy other colors but black or white. So already this started off different for me. I found no draw to the black color or white color this time for some reason. But this Blue and Gold version just pulled on my heart strings. The level of details just stand out even more on the surface of this coloration better in my opinion. You can see the mat blue brushed detailed before the glossy surrounding layer that looks like water and then on the back, more mat blue surface but a smoother version than what was on the front.

All fonts from “Bose” to the R and L on the back done at the right size and clarity. Even the mics and vents all cut specifically to the design seamlessly. And finally the mat blue rubber picked for the tips and sim wings that are like pillows for my ears are all perfectly designed for comfort and blends into this work of art. Even the case was designed with just the right clicking mechanism for the lid that also is matching the mat finish for the color. But what’s even more impressive, that most people don’t even bother bringing up is that Bose Partnered with Colorware. So you can create your own design for the case and earphones right on Bose’s site.

Just starting off you already know you have something pretty special. So I shouldn’t have been shocked at the overall impact it had on me. For the first time I found laid back and warm sound signatures something to behold. For the longest I never really liked the tone of “Warm and Laid back”. Most of the time, that just meant bloated and lacking of detail. Well not with this Bose QC MKII. They managed to design customized algorithms to creates the perfect balance of sound through their signature to match the curves of dynamics of your personal ear, both right and left. Now, while others have done this too, Bose seems to have created it better. It’s engine adjust not only the sound quality but the ANC, resulting in equal balancing of sound across all features and modes. Then they go through a EQ for even more adjustments if needed. This resulted in possibly the greatest sounding Bluetooth earphone I have experienced in my life. The bass sounds like the bass found only in high end IEMs, the mids and trebles sparkle as such too. Vocals sound natural and warm and the separation of the instrument is pure heaven and wide. You add the almost perfect silence of their ANC ( the best in the world today) and the amazingly accurate touch controls and you have a tech Wonder.
For those wondering about some of the complaints heard online : I will only tell you what I have. I have zero complaint about its functions or stability. I haven’t had any drops, balance issues, restarts, sound issues, or anything that doesn’t show anything but a well designed piece of tech. I’ve already downloaded the latest firmware…gone for walks around parks and listened to it in busy areas. It remains consistent and dependable every single time. I do have a Iphone 14 pro, so I can’t compare this to android or earlier Iphones version. But I am aware that there are those people out there that have complained about such things especially after the last update. Even I was scared to download it for fear of messing up things. But I did and nothing bad happened. All sounded as it did but again I always used my own personal EQ. And I’m not the only user of the Bose QC MKII that continue to stand on their product not having any issues and working as designed even after the update. So there must be other variables or just simply a percent of bad ones out there just like any other product.
