I’m so late to this party that I had didn’t even have to pay to get in because the DJ already left. With the jokes aside, I can honestly say I feel that I should have acting on this years ago. I have already respected the Bose technology but for some reason the headphones this time around didn’t get my eye until now. I guess one of the main reasons was that the headphones were too much like the previous model, which I already had. And so, for me, I just always seek tech that is different from what I had prior, especially if it’s from the same company. I just want to feel like I’m paying for something that is truly different in its looks and performance. And so with the 45’s I had to settle to experiment with this headphone. And let me tell you, I’m glad I did.

So getting the obvious out of the way. Yes, the Bose QC 45 is the same design but with that design comes the same amazing comfort. This was something I was a little worried about prior. I thought, from the pictures that they showed on the site, that the ear-cups didn’t have the same space and would sit on my ears instead of around them. This is a big no-no for me for headphones. Thank God I was wrong. They cup around my ears perfectly and don’t touch the drivers. The weight is still the amazing 240 grams they have always been, which is sick. This means basically that the crown for the most comfortable headphones still stays and dies with Bose. They also made sure it had the same fold up design with smaller case. This makes portability a thing to look forward to.
The next obvious thing, of should I say…should be obvious is that the Crown of ANC stays with the Bose team once again. Still today, 2 years on the market later and still there is no equal in ANC. Bose tech for ANC is the most powerful and yet so easy to get used to. You don’t have to worry about the noise canceling making you sick, or at least I didn’t have to worry about it and I”m very sensitive to that stuff. So rest assured you are in good hands with Bose for Noise canceling tech. They have no equal and I’ve had them all. Anyone trying to claim otherwise are lying to you.

Other than that, same over 20 hour life span( not the most ), which is decent and doesn’t bother me. It also has multi pairing device ability which works so well and easy going back and forth from you laptop and phone. It better than Apples multiple pairing options because it will connect to an Android and Apple devices and doesn’t require two Apple devices only. And with the newest update on firmware you also get the ability to adjust EQ’s now, something that the headphone didn’t launch with, which held me back too. Finally, you have awareness modes too. Now you can hear your surroundings (not as good as apples though) and play your music.

Finally the Sound…omg the Sound. The sound is so, so good. It’s the exact match of the QCII earphones. They present warmth, precision, Bass, Treble and mids balance with intimacy/soundstage width, even depth at the same time. This is something I have never seen done from any device. Most device can’t do soundstage width and depth along with intimacy. It could be helped by the tech that measures your ear depths and curves to present the best frequency for your ears. And with that tech, I’m going to hear sound better and different from another person that picks up the same headphone because their ears are shaped different and take on tones differently. And this came at a shock to me because if you read reviews and look at forms… you see people acting like theses headphones are just decent, when what I hear is so much better than simply being decent. They are amazing. I have no complaint about this headphone even sound good taking a phone call and has great controls. Best part, I got mine during the July sales that dropped…so I got mine for $199 and at that price…for me and my ears…I think I just purchases possibly the greatest headphone on the planet today.
