To a lot of peoples smiles, Sony had to be put in place and humbled. While PlayStation is the greatest gaming console platform on earth with amazing games, this type of success does come with its pride and over-confidence. As I have said before, Sony, for me, is the only place to play games that I like. But at the same time, I hate their lies and fanboys. I would love a future where the Xbox with game pass would have Sonys types of exclusives and Sony fading into nothing. But this just isn’t going to happen. Why? Because Microsoft doesn’t understand core gamers nor how the properly manage studios. Their direction for baby games and more first person shooter games isn’t my style at all. So unfortunately I’m stuck. I, however still can be honest enough to call it like it is. Sony deserved to lose Call of Duty in my opinion. You shouldn’t be able to do the things Sony tried to do in the trail and block attempts of the merger and walk away without punishment once you plans failed.

The things Sony did by protesting and meeting with different groups trying to get their way, was just a little more than basic professionalism or concern. It was flat out war and it wasn’t just Microsoft that they were hurting but Activision. And with a 70 billion dollar check on the table, Sony basically was stopping the lives of many people because of their pride and could have cost so many people their jobs, but they didn’t matter to Sony. And now Sony wants to act like it’s business as usual by signing the deal. They better be happy that these actions didn’t cost them more because it very well could have. Credit Microsoft and Activision for them being the bigger person in this whole deal. It also shows just how big Sony is to be able to do what they did and walk away without any real punishment. They ended up with a 10 year deal for Call of Duty even after losing the war. So I don’t see this as a bad thing. But again I still believe that letting them walk away without them being hurt more from their action only proves that Microsoft needs PlayStation still because it they didn’t I think that Sony would have lost some kind of access to Call of duty in some specific way, just to make a point.

At the end of the day I think this was a waste of time and money. It was bound to go through and all Sony did was waste money and time trying to delay things. And no matter what Sony Fanboys want to claim… they hate that they aren’t getting StarField and the they especially hate the fact that Microsoft now owns Call of duty and they will no longer have exclusive content. And most importantly, fanboys need to stop acting like Sony is sitting there ready to pick up the phone and give billions of dollars to 2k or EA to buy them because they are mad at Microsoft. That’s not how buyouts are done or decided. Sony needs to focus on franchises they already have and could renew. Things like Infamous second Son, Uncharted, and Ghost of Tsushima or others and get them out with the games you already have exclusives on that are coming like the Spiderman , Wolverine, and new Star Wars old republic Remake! If they do this… Sony remains above all other consoles despite Microsoft’s buyout of Activision. And if they truly want to remove the sting, match Xbox’s game pass day one releases of all exclusives. Bottom line, Sony isn’t in trouble and will continue to be who they are and if you like what they do today then you will be just fine. You should just feel lucky they didn’t cost you access to Call of Duty.
