I thought this earphone needed a final conclusion entry. After the first pair that I had failing on me caused me the grant the Soundcore Liberty 4 the best by default. We now have a better representation and need to revisit things, as I have exchanged them and have been testing them none-stop for weeks.
I guess I should start off with the different color I got. I went with the soapstone white color over the blue and gold limited edition. For some reason I have had better results out of the silver and white colors when dealing with the Bose Earphones and Headphones. Not saying that it’s for sure based on the color, just seems to work out that way. And in deed it did work out. No skips, no none connects, no drops, no software connection problems, and everything works even with the latest firmware that people claimed was causing problems.
So now that unit works just as designed, I was able to truly enjoy and test thoroughly. And as I alluded to in other entries, the sound signature for Bose with its Custom tone adjustments to your personal ear cavity, is straight up like a dream come true. It’s like Bose read my mind and created a earphone that I’ve always wanted in sound and comfort. I’ve had some earphones that were comfortable but lacked ANC, or earphones that had ANC and comfort but lack the emotional impact of volume or Bass, or the Bass heavy earphone without proper clarity in the mid or highs. But this earphone has every single thing I want and then allowed me an amazing EQ adjustment that made it more than I ever wanted or thought I wanted. Then you throw on top the ability to do ANC better than any other company in the world and do it without head pressure, then you have something truly special.
Even the battery life is great and I can take phone calls without struggles. Everything just works and works all the time. I don’t have worry about headaches, earaches, battery stress, or flat out not being engaging or emotional in its intimacy or soundstage. The instrument separation is so clean and directional that even watching movies, ASMR, or Podcasts are a delight. They even nailed the touch controls to the point that you don’t ever have problem with the command touches you are trying to do vs what happens.
Look at the end of day I’m sure I don’t relate to everyone. And I’m sure some people probably think Bose is just decent and not amazing because at the end of the day, it’s subjective. All I can say is that for me I’m content for the first time in a long time. Just like it was with my PS5, once something works well and all the boxes are check, you kinda don’t care about anyone else direction nor what may come tomorrow. This works and as long as it works…it’s mine. Will Sony and other come out with their attempts? Yep, but I’m not concern with it. Once you get this kind of sound and comfort, along with EQ abilities that you barely touch, you know you can even make more adjustments in future if needed so there is no need to move to anything else because I’m not missing anything with these and that’s what you look for on contentment.
