Sennheiser is a major, major brand in audio. It’s just as well known and respected as companies like Bose or Sony, some would argue even more so. They have a cult like following like Bose and have set themselves up on a global platform where they are successful. Something other smaller companies like a Nothing Ear or Soundcore has yet to accomplish. And while doing this along the way they still manage to give customer 2 year warranties in their products where their competition only offers 1 year warranties.

Their products like the Momentum true wireless 3 earphones have been on the market for over a year and don’t seem to be losing any ground with the refresh models being pushed by Sony or Bose. They still have arguably the Best and most iconic and unique sound signature in the world of earphones today. Sony and Bose have given their product new software and drivers to help boost their position but none of their changes have yet to overtake the results still found in Sennheiser’s earphone.

And their software and features still stand at the top. Their ANC still one of the very best money can buy. Their transparency mode is better than all others, other than Apple’s. Their phone call quality still better than Sonys and Bose latest releases. And of course their battery still amongst the very best today at 28 hours. And their touch controls options of customization is still my favorite, having one of the very few designs that allows me to use single taps for forward and rewind over pausing.

And then that amazing fine tuning software that has evolved for their app is so useful and easy, while still giving you the option for more complicated steps. It’s the kind of software that just gets out of your way and becomes what you need for the things that count vs gimmicks. And I respect this more than others that try to bloat their apps with useless tricks and gimmicks that don’t truly count for better experiences.
But all isn’t cookie and ice cream. Sennheiser has had its share of bugs and firmware issues. And if there is one dig against them that I have experienced personally, it would be that they take too long to create what should have been there at launch. But this is unfortunately my complaint against Sony and others as well. So I’m not saying they are unlike others when it comes to this. Nor am I excusing them from simply because others deal with it. But what I am saying is that they are not perfect, no company or person is. But when you line them up and compare what is existing today, the Sennheiser true wireless 3 earphones remain amongst the very best earphones in the world today even after over a year on the market.

So Sennheiser could take the stance that until something comes out that is truly better than what we have with the MTW 3 earphones, why bother. The xm5 aren’t better at noise-canceling, sound quality, phone calls quality, transparency modes, not fit, despite all the reviewers trying to push the thought that Sony is the best earphone. They aren’t! Nor are any of the other releases for 2023. The Sennheiser stands at the very top of the mountain with only the Bose or Apple having truly a legitimate stance for competition in key areas against them like phone call quality of the Best ANC. Other than this, the Sennheisers truly wireless earphone 3 are still the Overall winners for me and I remain in shock that all the other companies that have released newer product still trail behind them.
