Tips rolling is a term used for audiophiles around the world for users or IEMs. It is meant to describe the ever going exchange of different tips for the perfect fit and sound characteristics for IEM’s. Some IEM fit a certain group of people one way here and another way other there. Some user get better sound from them being shaped different or being made with different materials. Then on top of that each ear is shaped differently so it will provide different results of all that based on the walls of the ear and the depth of the ear. Basically it can get really complicated in determining your ear tips because the ones that come with the IEMs don’t always make the perfect pair for your ears and this can stop one from experiencing the true nature of the IEM that they have purchased.

For me, through it all, I have found only one great do it all IEM…the Spring Tips by MoonDrop. I have used them on every single IEM I have ever had and every single time I end up blown away with the perfect way they fit, how deep they allow the IEM to go in my ear, how secure it stays and grips my ears, and of course the balance nature of the sound it allow the IEM to produce. Not too much bass, not too little of it, not too much treble, or mids, just allows the IEM to be what it was designed to be like. So if you have any issues with fit or sound for your IEM I encourage you to get some spring tips. You can even find them on Amazon for under $30.
