Since the Thieaudio brand graced my ears with its magic, I have thought what would be my next IEM. I had already gotten the best kilo-buck IEM on the market today in the Monarch MK2. The realism it delivers is just nothing short of astonishing. But since my love has been expressed to others online, all I heard was that the U12T was still the easy choice over the Monarch MK2.

And and with the bragged about specs and features, it very well should be better. I just didn’t believe that it would be and wasn’t ready to spend that kind of money on something that may or might not live up to the expectations and worth over my Monarch MK2. However, when I found them for used and in a good shape for over 50% off its price this was different ball game. Now all of sudden the IEM that I was going to wait years to buy became a target that needed to get now at the price. I just didn’t believe I would manage to get them for this price ever.

Now my main concern now is the hype. The majority of everyone claims it clearly better than the Monarch mk2. But for what I hear form the Monarch mk2 I am just not convinced that this is even possible by man’s hands. My secondary is concern is the concern over the larger soundstage pulling the vocals back and the BA timbre and bass.

Lastly, if I’m honest with myself, the U12T don’t look appealing like Thieaudio products look. I mean, when you look at the two, there is a difference in the quality of cable, look on the faceplate, and even the accessories. This sticks out to me.
In fact, if I’m honest with myself, I don’t see myself keeping the U12T very long and am already preparing myself for a eBay push. I just don’t see myself giving up my Thieaudio MK2’s because I believe they are the first perfect product in the sound world history. There is nothing I want more from sound quality. I can’t come up with single thing that this IEM doesn’t do at S tier ranking. And absolutely nothing I can’t point to and say “ I wish it had more or less” of anything.
