Look I get the future of Xbox is something of hope and all. Small hope but hope nonetheless is what the truth is. Yes, they have lost this generation, even their own leader and chief confesses this. In fact they have lost every single generation by numbers. Most will claim they had success with the 360 era but this is the most embarrassing generation in which they were given a 10 million console lead and manage to still get outsold by PlayStation in the end. The list of failures is great and try as I might to continue to support them, the truth is still there. They haven’t accomplished jackcrap after all the hype, after all the promises, and all the power, they are nothing but a successful investor in subscription services at best, at this time.

So frankly the thing I don’t want to hear about is more hype about the next generation (“wait til next gen”) or the next pro model console. And the absolute last thing I want to see is a freaking toaster made by Xbox. It was bad enough that they did a refrigerator at launch. Once was enough, move on. But to do this yet again is something you do when you are successful. It’s like walking in an office when all the deadlines are overdue and the people there are playing games on the phones and sitting around talking and joking. You don’t get away with stuff like that when you aren’t successful at delivering what you promised. People don’t want to see or hear about you doing anything less than fixing your crap. Jokes and side quests are for winners and leaders in their market, not for those who can’t win even if they give away their products. Get your crap together Microsoft PR team. It’s not a good look at all.
