Look I’m not sure what the heck is going on but I’ve gone two different brands of Mp3 players and they are all absolute trash. All I see in most cases is audiophile reviewer sitting around listening to their Mp3 players, not their smartphones. I thought this was because the mp3 player being dedicated to music would perform better but OMG I was wrong. First I got the Hiby m300 that reviews gave a perfect 5 star to. Volume level and sound were horrible. It didn’t matter what IEM I used, it sounded like the worst Mp3 player in the world. The it took you 80% to even hear decent volumes and even that was not enough unless you were in a completely quiet room. The bass sounded like someone kid in the basement creating bad from a steel can or something. The soundstage was shot and there was even clipping. I should have stopped there but I tried again and got this N2 by Luoran. And well, again…absolute trash. Same thing…you can’t hear crap from any wired connection no matter what earphone or IEM you use. The software was slow and very limited and of course the sound quality had plenty of clipping, weak bass, hollowed out mids and empty soundstaging. In fact I think things are worst with this model. My Iphone with the Apple dongle is 10x, if not 20x better than any one of these MP3 players. I’m not sure what the heck is going on with Mp3 players made today but I don’t remember the older Mp3 players being this bad at all. It’s a flat out nightmare.
