Well more bad news and more unease is gathering about Microsoft. With Phil Spencer failing to outright deny the rumors gathering about Microsoft’s possible hardware exit and abandoning of exclusive, more people are on red alert more than ever before. Frankly put, you can’t blame them for such fear and unrest. It is also the reason again why I don’t trust any of these companies and don’t believe in fanboy views on console war. Because come next week we could be looking at Microsoft as just “Gamepass”.

That’s right folks.. kiss your pride away for Starfield or other titles possibly if these rumors are true. Indiana Jones could be a PlayStation game as well as other future titles like Hellblade 2(not forgetting that the original Hellblade was an PlayStation game at one time too). I mean the possibilities of where this could end up is mind boggling but not without its prediction.
Why? Because before either one of the new consoles launched, I said that one day Microsoft would be responsible for creating the world’s first perfect console, a PlayStation with Xbox exclusives. I foresaw that one day either Gamepass would end up on PlayStation or Xbox exclusives would make its way to PlayStation 5, making it the only system you need. And fast forward to today, we are one week away from a possible future like that. So here is what I feel will happen…
• 1. Microsoft comes out and announces only select titles exclusive going to Nintendo or PlayStation or both. All while holding back any real hurtful titles like Starfield thanks to the outcry.
• 2. Microsoft wakes up and decides to outright dispute any of this is real after looking at the backlash and announces something completely different.
•3. Microsoft rips the band aid away and confessing StarField and other titles are coming to Nintendo, PlayStation, or both.
Except for the second option, fanboys will be hurt after this is over, guaranteed outright cry and bomb threats will happen. Xbox has lived in the shadow of PlayStation forever and now you basically hurt them more possibly.
But for those of us like me who don’t care about pride in consoles or care how many other people have access to games I like playing, we will still see this as just another announcement because we know that gamepass will deliver for us, the free games within a subscription that we love on the Xbox hardware that we have and nobody is coming to our house to take it away. So people like me typically don’t care who else has it and nor where else the game is. PlayStation owners still have to pay $70 for those games while I pay nothing for them other than the same Gamepass cost I paid last month. So next week isn’t a stressful week for me. I own both consoles so it doesn’t matter. But if you think for one second I would rather get rid of my Xbox just to pay Sony $70 for games like Indian jones or MLB 24, you are out of your mind. I’m not hurt by this in any way or shape unless they abandon Gamepass, which is definitely not going to happen.
All other people out there, I’m sorry you put your faith into any billion to trillion dollar company. They all are evil and none of them care about you. So treat it like this and move on if things go south next week. Don’t overreact and don’t act out of emotion drastically only to regret it later.
