Look, I’m not going to act like I’m perfect and never get things wrong cause I do. So when that time comes, I own it. And so I’m here, owning it. It took a lot for me to give up my iphone to get this phone. Everything that has made sense to me for the last two years has been surrounded by my iphone or Apple. So trust me, this was not a fly by night decision. Most of my fears were from all the negative complaints on the issues people had with bad units. But as I kept watching reviews, I noticed that people i trusted, like MKBHD, on YouTube, all had praise for this phone. So I knew that not all phones had problems.
So when I looked over the other reviews and all the excitement of the phone and all of its options and colors, I was really impressed. So I pulled the trigger, and boy, am I glad I did. This phone is so smart and intuitive. It’s easily the best phone I’ve ever had in terms of options, intelligence, looks, and flow.
I was concerned that all this hype was just gimmicks and not very useful. I was wrong, super wrong, about that. Everything from the camera options and AI to the translator AI to the Grammer AI, and even something as simple as the wallpaper AI and more. It’s just a phone of dreams and I’m sure it will spark a new generation of smartphones directions that will take the market to new highs with new ways to get more money as these features are only free until the end of 2025. This means money is due for it use just like all future AI systems. But for me, so far, I’m pretty sure I will pay for some of these features for sure. They actually make my life better and make me seem smarter and more efficient.
Now I’m sure Samsung will soon have to come up with something to counter Apple once they enter the race for AI, but at least they have timed their latest phone release in line with Apple this far. They have placed a lot of pressure on Apple to come up with more innovative ways to keep up with them, and this only makes the user’s experience and choices more fun. At least, that’s what it’s done for me. I have freedom and helpful AI that makes my life better with this phone. It’s just a different life experience with this phone that is useful and exciting.
• Feel : It actually feels better than any phone I have ever felt in my hands with the weight to width ratio being perfect, and the flat screen just is the icing.
• Screen: Despite all the overreacting to the screen color vivid mode, I found the screen to look absolutely amazing. Way better than anything I had from the iPhone easily.
• Battery: The battery life is just sick. You can get some serious time out of this smartphone without ever feeling the need to recharge before you go to bed.
AI: Like I said above, the AI is just fantastic. They all help and serve a meaningful role for my life and use of the phone. You just can’t know until you start to use it and find yourself not wanting to go back. Type assist is my favorite so far. Then the camera AI is a close 2nd. This is followed by my overview option for internet pages.
And this is all just a portion of things I’m finding amazing about this phone. More is to come in my final review. I just wanted to get this initial impression out the way. My cases and accessories come in today (which I encourage you all to get on Amazon instead of being overcharged at wireless stores) and I can’t wait to see how things stack up with the look of my phone with the perfect case on it. I’m even going to be getting more stands to replace my old iPhone ones, even though I could still use it. I just want to really do a custom set to take advantage of the speed and options for the S24 Ultra. Until then, I can confirm that it’s a huge difference coming to this phone after 2 years with the iPhone. I’ve missed this.
