Gamers, aren’t you tired yet of the lies? How many times do we allow companies to continue to lie and sell us overhyped pieces of plastic? Aren’t you tired of the lies of every generation? Need I remind you… you had 4k 60frames abilities last generation. And this generation they flat out claimed we were going to be playing games in 4k and even 8k, in no less than 60frames along with 120fps, and of course Ray tracing. What do you have? Yet another promise of 4k and this time 120fps is the magic bullet and software tricks to help manage graphics, of course. Mind you, all of this was already promised to us for this generation, and yet they didn’t truly deliver.
Look, I like my games on Playstation and Xbox, but I’m sick of the lies told by both. Because this isn’t just a Playstation problem, Xbox promised 60-120fps and even 4k-8k, too. Yes, we got “a game” that does 4k or “a game” @ 60fps but we most definitely didn’t get 8k and most games were upscale to 4k which they both claimed was a thing in the past for the last generation console and that the new ones raw power and ssd drive would assure consistency and it didn’t. And yet here we are again, more promises of past stats to come this time around, just like they did before the start of this generation and again they want you to spend money to get this system to finally give you what they have been promising for two generation basically.
And even today, the best and closest thing we got to a truly next generation game is Ratchet and Clank, and it never hit 120fps let along 8k. I just truly think it’s time we stop letting companies piss on our legs and tell us it’s rain. We deserve more for overpriced digital downloads that cost as much as physical games…which is highway robbery that both Microsoft and Sony have been allowed to get away with for years. There is no cost for Blu-ray’s, store profits, or Shipments, and yet we are charged the exact same price. Why? Because they are greedy and dirty, and most people don’t think two seconds about this and how it should be less if there is no physical exchange. Just like most people aren’t going to think twice before repurchasing a console just to get something that you were already promised with the current console you have already. How about giving us what you promised or giving us money back Microsoft and Sony. Give us the credit towards a new console generation because you failed to deliver what you promised. That’s how you show you care about what gaming means by showing your integrity.
