Yes, these things are 2 years old. Yes, these things are about to be replaced with a newer model. But make no mistake about it, the Samsung buds pro 2s are still one of the very best sounding and most convenient pair of earphones for Bluetooth use in the world today.

I guess the older I get and the more experience I have with sound, I have come to understand my needs vs hype for new things more in my life. I spent a great many months away from true audiophile equipment like the 64 audio u12Ts. There isn’t anything in bluetooth existence that is better or equal to anything like this. And at $2000 it better be this way. However, when I need phone calls, wireless uses for sound and music, then yes, these things come in handy, especially being small and compacted in a small case. And if that’s all they could do… I’m good, but they actually deliver amazing sound for bluetooth as well. For the first time, I didn’t feel a great disconnect from my IEMs vs. bluetooth. Their focus on mid range is what I seek in my audiophile sound profile. It truly is the difference maker that most other earphones fail to understand, that and even caring to place in 24bit audio options. They fit perfectly in my ears, and it’s functions are perfectly suited for me and when I need to be wireless.

Of course, none of this is important if you don’t use the Samsung brand phones. And yes, if I still own an iPhone still, none of this is needed or done because of all the walled gardens of Apple. But now that I’m freed from that, all these options take place, and they are great. So yes, even though I’m blessed enough not to need to penny pinch anything and could go by a $300-$499 bluetooth branded earphones, I still think thr samsungs buds pro 2 being $100 or so is a better overall accomplishment for my tech life at this time.
