Look, it’s not every day that I find something that’s unlike anything ever made in a tech category. Normally, it’s because, for the most part, only subtle differences exist. If you listen to Sonys, Master and Dynamics, Samsung buds, and many others, there seems to be small differences, yes, but for the most part they all have a sound signature aimed in the same root foundation. Then we have a company like Sennheiser who have their own house sound that typically keep them unique and attractive to certain buyers. But what happens to companies like Sennheiser with their earphones is that they are torn down by the negative issues with software and performance because they become lazy in the QA department and lazy in their approach to the customer where they put out products that don’t move the needle. Now, this can be excused if you can’t move the needle every year if you are already at the top. But what you can’t do is have trust issues in your product reliability. Why? Because sooner or later a company that doesn’t get the eyes and attention in earphones shows up and shows out.

Enter the most uniquely performing Earphone in the world today, the Technic AZ80. This beautiful piece of art has shown up and rocked the world of earphones. They not only have a small compact case with good battery life, but they are carrying tech like the ambient mode that rival the best in the world in that category, the Airpod Pros. They then throw in Anc that rivals companies like Bose and Sony. But they don’t stop there. Nope, they create a design that has zero issue in stability in most ears. Fitting secure and fluidly in your ear. And I say fluidly because of the way it was cut to support the concha in the ear. It blends in with your ear naturally, so when the music hits …it actually feels the music is somehow a part of the way it fits in your ears strangely enough. The sound is so unique because of its depths and soundstage reach, being wider and more submersible in its wrap around you better than anything ever put in bluetooth today. The imaging and timbre of the sound is on highend IEM levels, and dare I say maybe over.

They could have stopped there, but the Technics didn’t stop there, no. They threw in good battery life up to 7 hours with ANC, something other earphones continue to ignore. They followed that with a great app that allows multiple features to be created for your liking. A great EQ system, truly custom touch controls, custom ANC level controls, custom Ambient controls with different types of focuses, and many others.

But again, they didn’t stop there. They needed to add yet another feature that nobody in bluetooth is doing today. Something that makes using the AZ80’s yet again something special and unique. So what do they add? They give you the ability to control not 1 or 2 devices, but 3 different devices at the same time without any pauses or delays nor any connection problems in bluetooth period. That’s right, no stutters, no delays, no drops, nothing. It works flawlessly with 1 device as it works with 3 devices. And for those who only need it for 2 devices.. you get to keep your LDAC codex if you are using Android. You only need to leave LDAC if you use 3 devices. And even if you only use AAC with your apple products…the sound is still absolutely stunning, just in case you were wondering.

Look, I’m telling you, this earphone is something to behold, hear, or place in your ear. It’s almost like the focus of this earphone was truly to be perfect in ever front that they could be. But is it perfect? No, of course not. I would say the phone calls .while good, should have better ANC to block noise from the listeners you are speaking to. Too much noise is heard by the person you are speaking to if you are in a windy area or a very loud place. The people can hear you, but they still hear too much of other things, in my opinion. Other than that, phone calls are very detailed and doable, especially in normal room environments.
At the end of the day…the Technics Az80’s are just simply the most luxurious, unique, and stunningly performing bluetooth earphone I have ever seen to date, and at $295, it deserves your consideration.
