Well, today is the day, folks. It’s time to put the rubber to the road and decide what bluetooth earphones to keep. Unlike a lot of youtubers and reviewers, I don’t like having multiple devices. It’s actually stresses me out because I spend all my time comparing instead of enjoying. So it’s very important to me that I get my choice down right.  So, I guess I have to start with the foundational truth that nothing is perfect. It’s created by man, not God, so I can’t expect any of these items not to have a flaw. That’s the first reality that I had to accept.

So when I look at that, I find that the Az80’s have limits with how fast they charge. They charge so slow that it’s frustrating. They also are the least dynamic in sound of the bunch. While they contain amazing clarity, balance, and soundstage …they don’t hit with authority as the others. But this isn’t really seen unless you have experienced the others and you try to return.

And then we have the beautiful and well-known brand of Sennheiser. It has had its history of problems prior. Even with this model, it started off with problems that they claim to have fixed. But for me personally, it kicked off its campaign with me with a hard crash after the update that caused my right earphones to reboot by itself randomly. It has since stopped this, but I’ve noticed that of the two earphones, I always develop pressure headaches with the Sennheisers due to their lack of venting or lack of proper venting.

Finally, we have the Denon Perl pros. While they are easily the best sounding earphone on the table, they don’t handle the features well. Things like ANC and Hear thru are very basic in their performance, and the touch controls are not accurate as they should be requiring multiple touches at times.  They also failed out of nowhere, too … requiring it to be returned to the case to clear up the connection one time, but nothing since.

So what do I stand with? What item will deliver what I need the most? And I guess this will come down to the person. Everyone has different priorities. My list of priorities are as followed.

• Sound

• Comfort

• Battery life

• Stability

• Features

It came down to the priority of Sound, comfort, and battery. The only model that checks all these off as the best is the Denon. The basic features are not high on my list. As long as I can use hear thru and ANC, I’m good with the effectiveness being on basic or average levels because that’s the only time I use it for. I have over the ear headphones for true ANC if needed. It would have been the Az80 if not for the slow charging and lack of bass impact. And with the Denon being the very best I’ve ever heard in bluetooth existence, it was just too hard to walk away with anything less as long as the Denon worked 98% of time like they should.
