Gun’s Superman choices are not very convincing at all for me. I’m sure they are plenty of superman fans that could care less about the look just as long as they get another Superman movie. But for me, the way they did Cavill doesn’t leave room to come out half cocked. This looked like some child put on their dad’s suit to see if it fits, and guess what…it doesn’t. The suit looks so low quality and thrown together. Most of the suit looks like it’s a overly thick rubber scuba suit and might just have the stupid underwear over the suit routine that everyone wanted to get away from but now is back.
Now I hope this image is something that could be fixed digitally but as it stands right now…nobody wants to see some plastic super suit fold and bend over itself every time he moves, fights, or bends over to picks up anything. It looks cheesy and unfit for such a sacrifice that many fans have endeared through this whole abandoning of Henry Cavill. And on top of all of this ..the actor just doesn’t fit. This isn’t about being stuck on Henry Cavill either because I didn’t believe he ever made a great Clark Kent at all, not like Brandon did. But at least he looked the part. This actor just doesn’t cut it for me, at least not as he looks here. It a weird way but yet ironic, he looks just as out of place as a actor for Superman as his suit looks as a replacement suit for superman. And on top of that nothing about this image tell me that this next superman movie will be anything more real, more action packed, and more story driven than any other superman prior, in fact most likely less.
