Well, I thought I was done testing earphones and putting them up against others for a while, but the hype train about these earphones won’t stop, it seems. Every time I look up, someone is claiming that it’s on par with the Denon Perl Pro in sound quality. They are claiming it’s a perfect earphone, finally. They claim that it the best earphones, especially since it cost under $100. This thing has 52 hours of battery life and great ANC. They even claim it sounds as good as the Denon perl pro!

Now, I haven’t gotten them yet. Mine won’t come in until tomorrow when I will do an unboxing and make my preliminaries on its design and feel. But one thing is for sure, no earphones are ever as good as their overhype are. We always find a way of messing up what is reality vs hype and by the time people get the earphones they expect something different from what is truly there and it gets crushed for what was assumed vs what was actually fair to it to do.

For me, though, I don’t believe it will be better than the Az80, and I have a very hard time believing that it could match the Denon Perl Pro sound quality at $80 either, I just don’t buy it. Look, I get it. Not everyone can afford $300-$400 bluetooth earphones, and it’s a great thing to have options that cost less. But I still don’t believe miracles exist in technology cost vs. ability. If everyone that has higher cost do the most and do it more efficiently…I don’t believe the same result are reached or beat with that big of a drop off of price, if they claim to have the same tech or better. I mean, there is an RND for these things. Both time and tech costs exist. They don’t disappear simply because you want to put out a cheaper product. Typically, you can put out cheaper products because shortcuts were done and equipment was cheaper. And when this happens, you don’t end up with the same quality or level of the products at higher cost. Now, I’m not referring to a product at $300 vs. a $200 product. But a $80 products compared to a $300 is too big of a leap. But all of this will be answers tomorrow, and if it is … it could be one of the greatest achievements in bluetooth existence(but dont hold your breath). Stay tuned….
