I’m not sure how this is possible, but yes, indeed, I was wrong about this product. The hype is real, folks! I would even start with the correction about this product being the best “under $100 earphones for the price”. Remove “under  $100” and “for the price.” It has nothing to do with it just being the best under $100 basic teir earphone. Nope, you could have placed this earphone in the $299 bracket with all the rest, and you can make the argument for this being better than all others still. Let’s stop placing this into an area that says … it’s great because it is cheap. The cheap price is just the miracle part…it isn’t the reason why it’s so good.  If anything, how on earth something this good ends up at $80 is the real question.

All the bells and whistles are here that shouldn’t be at $80. What kind of magic did they do to get this product performing this well? The sound is on par with all the top earphones. Its fit is top with all the top earphones. Its app features set is on top with all the best earphones, and its ANC is on top with all the best earphones. This is a box checking machine that went after their goals and nailed it for the most part. The drivers punch out serious quality in bass mids and treble. They even have depth and a wide soundstage.

Then finally, you deliver this with amazing top-tier battery life that no other famous branded top tier earphone has along with multi paring, ldac, lossless aptx inside a small compact case for $80!  There really isn’t much left to talk about, truly. This earphone has upset the balance of things flat out. They have proven there is no need for higher cost products because you can accomplish your goals without the high price tags. This was already hinted by companies like Cambridge with their amazing M100. And while I still think they have a better sound quality and better battery life while coming in at $160, the difference between them and a $80 price tag was with the phone quality being better for a lot of folks and I wouldn’t argue against it.

Now, is this a diamond? I’m afraid not. It still needs to be better in phone quality. While it’s better than the M100s,  it isn’t better than the Az80s, sennehiser, and even airpods. Nor does it have a great transparency mode. It also has a few features that just don’t do what they claim(AnC levels), something I gave full credit for on the Az80s. So, as good as these earphones are and the amazing price tag, they still do show that not all is perfect even with the efforts they put out. On top of that, their firmware updates proved to correct a lot of issues they had prior, that shouldn’t have left out of the door attached to the earphones in the first place. Again, only bringing back the rare performance the Az80 did even with 8 hours of battery life per charge compared to 11. They still did what they said and didn’t over promise features that didn’t work out the box.
