Have you heard? The Bowers and Wilkins pi8 is supposed to be the greatest sounding earphone in the world today. That’s right the title of the Best gets kicked down the road again to yet another hyped up product. Bowers and Wilkins is no stranger to this hype as they do a great job of paying off the right people and pushing the right free products to the youtuber they need to hype it up the most. They even hire the best models, like David here, to rock the look to further the thought to the consumer that they need this product too. They really do a great job on the exterior of their product to make sure they look like a product with class.

I mean take a look at these gorgeous pieces of Artwork. They almost look like candy, they are that good looking. And with this look comes a certain expectation of what is truly presented is a class defining product or a product of a certain standard of perfection, right? Wrong! While the outside and the webpages suggestion perfection and class leading, this is not at all what real consumers have reported about the previous line up of earphones and it is not what’s being seen by the consumer with this latest earphone, the pi8.

Reddit is starting to gain a lot of steam about this product. Outside from the complaints of the price comes a merit of different failures and bugs. Everything from sound issues, lack of bass, lack of battery, misreading of battery level, and other issues are being talked about on forms and they are gaining in their reports frequently on the same things, which proves it’s not isolated.
Now, normally we would say…it’s a new product and they have bugs. However, Bowers and Wilkins are not new to this game. Even upon reporting the failures B/W support team, they are responding to some consumers as they are unaware of them while others say they have reports but don’t have answers yet. But beyond that, some others have reported that they have had the same problems out of their old products. They believe that they are not competent in dealing problems they face and never handle them as was the case on every other model prior. So this has led to speculations that these problem won’t be handled by B/W this time around either.

Look, I get it! Even as of today, the most reliable bluetooth earphone in the world has been the AZ80’s for my experience. They work exactly like they promised right out of the box. They never over promise something they can’t do and they never fail, skip, stutter, crash or anything else. Every other earphone in the world today has had problems or failures at times that they either fix soon after launch or later. But unlike them, Bowers and Wilkins have had a history of the exact opposite. They don’t fix their problem and people just accept it and buy the next product in faith. Meanwhile, Bowers and Wilkins charge more for their products than 90% of the other earphones brands out there. The Question is why is that they can’t simply deliver on the QC and or at least come through for the consumers faster in fixing unforeseen things?
