Cambridge m100

Vs

Denon perl Pro

This fight has been done before but under false pretense. This was something that I needed to correct. So a fight for the best is needed again. Prior, I misused the Denon Perl Pro wrong with a fast charger that might have caused the unit to charge with too much power that shorted out the earphone. This was warned in the instructions that I never read but should have. So I repurchased them and used them with the right charger, and they have worked flawlessly. They have even worked as well as my very best earphones, the Az80’s. So we now look at things in a different light.

Battery:

Victor still remains with the M100s hands down. 52 hours of battery life is a beast. And while 32 is said to be the Denon Perl Pro’s, there are too many concessions to reach that promise, and in my opinion, it never does give 3 full 8 hour charges to do so anyway.

Sound:

As I have said over and over again…they have no equal. The sound on the Denon Perl Pro are on a different level. There isn’t a way to beat them that I am aware of from any bluetooth earphone in the world. The realistic,  real timbre, rich impacting bass, with the clarity and emotions of vocals, yet creating separation that is unmatched, is what totally beat every single bluetooth in the world today. And while the m100s are my second best sound..they aren’t these.

Fit :

This is the roughest category because both fit so well. But the flat nature of the Denon Perl Pro is something I preferred over the Frankenstein look of the M100. So, yes, I have to give it to the Denon Perl Pro again.

Controls:

Again, the Denon perl Pro is just better. The touch controls are custom while the M100 aren’t. The m100 also have this weird requirement to pause you music before entering controls for AI where the Denon Perl Pro doesn’t have that sort of requirement.

App:

Again…the Denon Perl Pro sound analyzer is just the best in the game today. You don’t have to think about anything or do anything… Everything is done for you, and it’s magical. The m100 gives you very basic control and ability. Yes, it gets the job done, and all but the useful things accomplished by the Denon app go a longer way.

Dependability:

And last, which unit works without issues? Again, with a whopping and dominating victory again and the majority of the wins, the Denon Perl Pro finally defeats Feyd Rautha(M100). The m100 has had more than a couple of times where the app has not connected. The Denon perl pro(Neo) has just worked berry single time since I stopped using fast chargers on them, of course.

I could add the subject of price and give a consolation victory to the M100 because of its $170 vs $250 price tags advantage, but why bother ..it still doesn’t win the majority of the subjects. So the Top Champ 🏆…the Denon Perl Pro it is.

Is there any other challenger left? Stay tuned! They may just be one who will Bow to it or require it to bower to it:)))
