A lot of things have to be put into place to get things right in tech. For bluetooth, things can get even more complicated because you are having to get things right for so many types of OS’s and device types in most cases. And if you are off on one side or the other, you will be qualified by millions as a failure. Iphones and Android phones alike have to work along with the computers and other OS’s not as popular but found overseas.

Then, after that, you must figure out a way to priorize the things you know what you can do great vs. what you can’t and determine how to pick the non-negotiable items vs. the others. On top of all that, you have to decide the look and the tech to help separate yourself from others.

For Bowers and Wilkins, it pretty clear that sound, realism, tonaily, timbre,  comfort, and quality of materials are their priority. As I said many, many times, the Pi8 have no equal in Sound and Comfort for my life. I’ve had all of the great kings of bluetooth, and none of them defeat the Pi8’s in Sound or Comfort. I also believe they are the most attractive pair and highest quality looking pair, as well. They have perfect venting, perfect weight that disappear in your ears, with perfect sounds and looks that stand out. However, there are other earphones that specialize in other things that the Bowers and Wilkins do not.

The latest on the market that seems to have one of the deepest sets of features next to only Sony is the $130 soundcore liberty 4 pros. They have tons of gimmicks and a rich app that gives you access to a great ANC, possibly only 2nd to Bose, that measures air pressure changes in altitude for those who fly. They are, though, missing all the important factors that matter to me, the best sound and comfort. Although they have great consumer bass heavy and high tremble, they miss the needed separation, tonaily, timbre, and soundstage things like the Denon’s, Az80’s, and the Pi8’s who make this an absolute priority. The Liberty 4 pro are also missing venting, or should I say proper venting and pressure can build inside your head and create a suction inside your ear as felt if you try and remove them. So this is not an earphone that lives up to my standards. But for others, I would recommend it very fast because most people focus on consumers sound, not audiophile sound.

But for me, every single time I put these things in, all I hear is the pinnacle of bluetooth sound and its future placed inside such an amazing sounding and feeling earphone. It’s like a new world experience every time I put them in and hear just the vast difference in quality it makes over all others. Trust me, I have tried to find an equal for less money, and all I do is fail at this task. It is the most realistic and accurate sound in a bluetooth device that has ever been, and I can’t get enough of them.

The world owes Bowers and Wilkins a small debt for the experience of sound it has given it. And yet, they will not make the top 5 seller list ever at $399, and they already expect this. Only those who know will know. Only those who seek the absolute best will buy it, and if that’s you… you won’t turn back after this direction.

So, in a nutshell… the best the best requires you first to identify with your target audience and knowing who they are go a long way. Next, you have to be the best at what you do well. If you’re Bose …you can never lose to anyone in ANC. If you’re Bowers and Wilkins …you can not lose anyone in sound quality…if you’re Sony, you can’t lose to anyone in features. I think you get my point now. It takes you not failing at the one area that makes you different.

Lastly, and this could be the most important one yet. You can not be bad at the basics and what you promised on your web page. Don’t promise the best phone quality and have horrible phone quality. Don’t brag on your company being the best, and yet nobody can even use your products without drops, skips, and crashes. Be dependable and up front with the truth of your product. Don’t promise 30 hours of battery, when what you mean is that if you turn off everything that makes your product work and put them down on the counter without music playing that they will stay on for 30 hours. Just be truthful!
