As a tech reviewer, one of the weirdest events to take place is what I like to call the Pyramid Stair effect. You see most people reach the lowest level of a pyramid because it’s the first level and easiest level to reach without any real work. In tech this represents the cheaper products that most people buy on a whelm. The money isn’t missed and they don’t have to think about saving for them. Then there is the 2nd level of the pyramid that other, a little more mature buyers make for the sake of finally looking for quality and understanding that you will have pay a little more than the average person for a little more nicer looking and more dependable tech. And then you reach the next to the top level. These people save or have more income than most and not only are they looking for better quality and dependable tech. These people are looking for the tech that stands out from the rest that all the people on tv have and all the rock star have. These demand a price for their popularity and influence over the known media world and are sometimes seen on your favorite Basketball head or being used by them.
And finally, we have the top of the Pyramid. It is there you find the small amount of room and width because this space isn’t filled by the stars, the mature, nor the affordable people. No, this space is only for the initiated. These group of people sit in special circles to themselves, not flashing their items on tv, they aren’t in seen at the family barbecue. They aren’t found waiting outside stores or looking for the Black friday sales lines. These people are seekers of the a special class of tech that are rarely seen by the masses. You might get a glimpse of them in movies as the camera spans, to give a quick nod to those in the know but nothing more than that. And in that quick 2-3 second flash on the screen, only the initiated will take their hat off to the moment and soak in the moment when only one or two people truly understood the level of quality and rare taste just flashed on the screen, if only for the briefest moment. It is there once you meet there at the top that you find that you have no way forward. And while you relish in the moment of finally getting to the top, you are sad as well because your journey is over.
At the top is a lonely spoke to be because not only is the space only filled by the rarest of people, but those that stand at the top have no other stairs to climb and only can look down as the only direction to move to if they don’t want to remain there at the top. This is what the Pi8’s do for me. They are perfect for sound, comfort, quality, stability, and my phone call needs. They have no equal nor anything in the realm of bluetooth that can defeat it in these areas. They are more than just another pair of earphones, they are broken into a realm where they are so much more than that. They are Artwork Masterpieces in their performance and look alike. So, I sit in the top spot with enjoyment in the moment never experienced by bluetooth earphones ever but know that no such moment is coming again for me in this space until possibly the Pi9’s and it’s saddens me a little. So, for those who love to collect and find joy in the collections and hunt for the best, do yourself a favor and don’t buy the Pi8’s. Once you do, you will be in despair because your search is over and there are no more stairs to climb. Seek this ONLY if you are ready to end your journey for Bluetooth earphones. This I warn you!
