So while the Pi8’s are hands down the greatest sounding bluetooth earphone in the world today I have regretted buying them at their asking price of $400. Problems that exist on them really shouldn’t be there. Things like the battery life charging stopping at 80% or 90% is a huge issue because they are already one of the lowest battery life hours in bluetooth with only 13 hours on the case. They have touch delays, weak ANC, and Weak hear through. But one of things that really got to me was the case re-transmission stopped working. You know the claim to fame for the series? Given you looseness ability upon any item you plug the case into. It’s amazing and one of the most underrated feature of the earphones. So when something like this just stops, it’s a pretty big deal and pisses off people when they no longer have the ability to make this work all of sudden.

Well good news…looks like the problem is once again a sacrificial one. I’m afraid the case transmission only works if you don’t use Multiple Bluetooth options. So yeah they forgot to tell people that if you ever had two devices that were connected to the bluetooth side of things, that the case plugged directly into sometime would never allow re-transmission to work back to the earphones. This fact would have been appreciated if they actually advertised that limit up front because here I thought this was just another failure, just like the battery life issues or the touch controls for the Pi8’s. Thankfully this is not the case and it can be fixed by simply turning off one of the two bluetooth connections. After you do this, the case re-transmission should work as designed. So at least this is some good news…because I truly ready to send them back off the company. And while they are not perfect my other complaints still needs to be addressed but something tells me they will never get fixed.
