Boy, things are so weird for me right now. I’m so unprepared by the function and performance of the Devialet Gemini 2’s. I’ve spent so much of my time looking over groups of shortcomings from otherwise great products like the Pi8’s and others that I struggled to stop holding my breath or waiting for the shoe to drop but never does. I pick them up, and they work every time. I take them out of the case in the morning, and they connect, and they are fully charged every single time! They don’t just drop from 100% to 92% just because I listened to a 3 minute song. And best yet, they simply charge normally without taking 2x a long as others.
When it’s time to use the touch controls, they actually respond to my touch accurately without delays. I walk with them, use them in malls, use them in the streets, and no skips, no drops, no stutters. The Anc even works very well. There are no specific noises that are magnified in ANC that shouldn’t be. They even sound amazing on phone calls. Even hear-thru works well and isn’t just a feature to throw in.
The Gemini 2’s are absolutely stunning in their looks and feel just as amazing as they look. They are easily the best feeling earphones with zero pressure build up in my ears or head. They use the placement of how they sit in your ears to adapt the sound accordingly, making things more realistic, dynamic, powerful, and detailed in tonaily, timbre, soundstaging , vocals, and imaging. Even their texture feels amazing and is useful to maintain grips in your ears without adding additional pressure spots. Basically, they stay and disappear.
This is why my world sounds different, why my music sounds more real, why even something as a phone call or a simple 100% charge up means more. For the first time in my life I have the absolute best that exist but along with this came, for the first time, a freedom to not have to worry about something that doesn’t work as promised. I have great battery life, greatest sound, greatest fit, greatest feel, great look, and they are dependable and trustworthy. I am not waiting on a single thing promised that was not delivered in the manner they promised. For the first time in my bluetooth life, I’m ONLY listening to music, not trying to find work arounds, dealing with something that should work but don’t, or waiting on firmware to fix a issue I’m having and it’s absolutely beautiful.
