No matter how many earphones I have or how many firmware updates hit for them, I have but one for me, the Gemini 2’s aka Kai’Ckul. The Gemini 2 is flat out the best I’ve ever had. The soundstage, bass quality, imaging, tonaily, and timbre stand on top of all things. The dynamics are so rich and emotional. It’s pure nirvana when I put these things in. The best of all, they are charged 100% every single time I pull them out of the case, they are ready without glitches. I’ve been outside, in malls, and walking the streets, and the ANC absolutely kills it, unlike a lot of brands out there, like the Pi8’s.

Aka Kai’Ckul

Things like the Pi8’s who are the only real legitimate competition to it still can’t get things right after firmware updates only prove just how rare it is to have something like the Devialet Gemini 2 who work flawless and actually deliever on all that they promised and still be the most dominating sound, best fit, and best luxury feel bluetooth on the planet.

My favorite part of them is their realism and how they create the soundstage and imaging with how they fit into your ears and disappear. I get that fit is subjective, and I have had amazing fitting earphones in the past that create a feeling of nothing in your ears. But these create this feeling along with the feeling of filling up your ears without pressure. Basically, it’s more secure and locks into place but still blends in with your ears. And when this happens, the surround effects of their soundstage are so much more realistic than others because of their hear thru feature. They blend into the environment so well around you that your brain confuses what’s real in sounds around you and what’s being projected from the earphones, especially in podcast and audiobook dramas.

My only complaint is that it took $500 to finally arrive at the top. Or $450 if you use Ssense.com, like I did to order them, which they deliver in two business days, free. This is something I have to give Ssense.com a lot of credit for. I never used them before, not heard of them before I searched for the Gemini 2’s. Apparently, they are well known and very dependable high fashion store that just so happen to have these because they are considered luxury earphones . So I’m glad I found them. Can’t say I would use them for anything in the future unless Devialet come out with a Gemini 3.

But until that happens, the Gemini 2 will remain my top choice and best choice for music and sound. But at the same time, I do not dare place my choices on another. I would easily tell another person to buy the Bose Quietcomfort earbuds 2nd edition or the Soundcore liberty pro 4’s and save their money if they have never heard the Pi8s, denon perl pro, or the Devialet. At most, I would tell them to buy the Az80s at their $260 price but no further. The quality levels I’m getting from the Gemini 2’s are my needs and my needs only. You don’t need to spend $500 for amazing sound quality. You only need it for the absolute best, and for most people, this is a line that is not needed to cross. So I don’t bother pushing people to my limits, and this is just a standard I try and keep to. Especially when something has zero flaws.

That’s right, I’m about to say something I’ve never said about a tech product. It’s Perfect not just in the things it delivers on like the az80 were. But this product is actually perfect in its abilities and executions. They have no equal in its totality. Nothing on earth in the bluetooth realm can compete with its total performance. No brand, at any cost, is better period, and on top of this, nothing is missing.
