It’s simply the one that is the best sounding, most comfortable, and one of the most reliable, functioning earphones in the world. The recipe for greatness is always found in this formula. But with over 99% of all other earphones failing at doing these things, it makes me question why? Devialet is a France company known for their high quality, yes! But so is Bang and Olufsen, Bowers and Wilkins, and many others know for high quality. So what makes the Gemini 2 different? I just can’t believe that they are the only company that tried, or the only one that spent money on proper RND.
Did the stars just align that special day when the Gemini 2 were made? The app works without issues, the ANC actually is useful, the Hear through works so well, and the managed to even get phone calls right before just laying the law down for every bluetooth earphone on planet earth for sound and comfort. And yet, being over a year old, they remain unbeatable still, despite newer models like the Pi8 and others hitting the market. Yes, most will assume that pi8 are better in sound or comfort because they are the new kid and most talked about, but they aren’t. You would assume something like the Bang Olufsen 11’s would be able to defeat them at their $500 cost if you allowed yourself to believe it’s only because the Gemini 2 were $500 so this automatically means the best, you again would be wrong. There is no equal in the world for these bluetooth earphones.
Yes, you can just have your preferences despite the superior product all you want. Nothing is wrong with that. Even I sometimes prefer a different sound or feature not present on the Gemini 2. Things like the transmission case of the pi8s or the Super ANC on the Bose quietcomfort earbuds 2nd generation. But this doesn’t even begin to make either one of these better than the Gemini 2s overall for me. But if all you care about the transmission case advantage or the ANC or some other feature, you could very well be totally content with your choices. Nothing is wrong with that. There are people who can see past their airpods pros because of the eco system connection. Who am I to say otherwise for their choices? But for my ears and for what I see in graphs for this earphone subjectivly… there isn’t anything better in bluetooth for sound than these.
