Sometimes, things come about that are just the greatest to exist. It can be something so clear, it’s scary. Every single time I pick these things up and listen to them, my life changes just a little. Things become clearer, my imagination becomes more creative, and lifes random outcome seems happier :). The 5hz to 20hz frequency response is so rare in the bluetooth world, and when it happens, it’s special. The clarity and bass on these are THE SINGLE GREATEST AND MOST ACCURATE TO EXIST IN BLUETOOTH EVER since its release in 2023 and now we in the year 2025 and we have no equal still. Just being newer doesn’t mean better people.
Devialet has done a great thing with these and has no equal to them even when people are not really aware of such a treasure. Yes, this is partly because of them and their higher cost. But ultimately, nothing wraps around my head and body like the sound these produce. Enveloping sound is something not accomplished by any brand for bluetooth like it is with Devialet. I’ve had the ones that are wide in soundstage, but that stage stays out ….the Gemini 2 stretches out but curves back around you like a forcefield of sound waves. And to get any issues out the way, the earphones are better than the pi8 and evrry single new earphones out today or coming soon in as a whole.
I’m still wondering what possibly Devialet could ever do to make these better in sound. Nothing has beaten this earphone since 2023, and won’t do it in 2025 is my prediction. In fact, nothing beats this earphone until there is a Devialet Gemini 3, which is what I believe wholeheartedly. Sure, there are going to be plenty of hype for other newer earphones that are coming out. You are already starting to hear about them now, things like the az100 and Bang and Olufsen 11’s.. But none of those will do what these do in sound, comfort, quality of materials, touch controls, ANC, hear thru, quality, and phone call quality as a complete package like this.
And as I sit here writing and listening to this perfection… this is the only way to describe it. If such a thing is able to be perfected, not just in what it promises to do but in its performance vs. everything in the world today in bluetooth earphones, that’s the word…..Perfection. I truly wanted to avoid using that term in this way but after the honeymoon stage was over and after all the bells and whistles were done sounding off by all the conpetitors, this is exactly what this product is…”perfection” as it could ever be rightfully applied to such a thing. There is no other earphone, no other steps needed, no other feature missing for me, and no luxury or quality point needed in a bluetooth earphone than what had been accomplished with this product. I think I have decided to do the unthinkable to a lot of people…I’m getting rid of my pi8’s. I’m not going to wait for the firmware or exchange unit. I’m going to sell them away and be done with it. In fact, I’m also selling my Denon Perl Pros and others. This one earphone is just magical, and I have nothing more I want in sound.
