So, more hours passed, and I promised I would be doing more testing on the Az100’s. I have done more testing and found out I was wrong about the ambient mode vs. the Devialet Gemini 2’s. The Technics Az100 had the ability to increase the ambient mode effectiveness and even focus on voices and conversation. This when turned up blew my mind. It is so clear that I would dare say it could very well be the very best android based earphone’s ambient mode (aka hear thru) ever placed in a bluetooth earphone.
This again creates results whereby we can take again, the cost of the product vs. others and see again how special the Az100 are. They are truly a love letter to all those people who never believed in spending more than $299 on a pair of earphones, just to have some of the best sound quality, performance, or battey life. These things should be accomplished by all, and the Technics prove this.
So, now we have some changes to the advantages of the Devialet vs Az100. Best Comfort, better ANC, sound still stand with the Gemini 2’s. But the Az100 has just under the Gemini 2’s sound, but has better hear through(ambient), better battery, and better price. More testing is going to be done tomorrow, but so far, this is where things are right now. Final review coming soon
