Let’s be honest here! Most of you already know that you have tons of options out there for your Bluetooth earphone. All of you also know already what you will spend and what you won’t spend on such an item. If you are looking over the Az100’s it’s because you have already heard about them and just want to see more views and possible info discovered that most aren’t talking about yet. If you are like me, you want to make sure that the money is well spent and that there aren’t any surprises waiting around the corner that may not yet been seen by others or unwilling to be shared by others. Or you could just be curious about the hype and want to know if it’s well deserving or just another fly by night earphone. Lastly, the other elephant in the room question is …Does this AZ100 now take the crown as the #1 earphone to buy?

Well first, lets get the nerves out of the way. I can comfortably tell you that outside of weak magnetics for the case ( possible due to the concern about any conflicts of the magnetic drivers and the magnetics in the case interfering with things), there is nothing about the design of these earphones nor their app that has shown any type of issue or signs of not working properly. Technics have once again delivered on exactly every single thing they promised just like they did with the Az80. No crashes and disconnects present with these. You can safely trust in the Technics hard work and research with the development of these earphones.

Next up is the Magic that is leading the hype on these earphones. It’s their new Magnetic Fluid Driver. This driver Technics hypes up to explaining how much more pure the sound quality is because of the fluid. So, does this really work? Yes it completely does. This Az100 is a beast in sound quality and easily beats their previous version of the AZ80. So much so, they skipped calling this the Az90’s and went straight to the 100’s. Because of these new drivers and what was already present with the Az80 DNA, they were able to build off that and create something special at a price of $299 without asking for $400 or $500 for it to boot. The sound is so good that I believe is might be one of the best Mid range Bluetooth earphones available today. The dynamics and bass are on point and rich with balance and definition in the soundstage and imaging, without lacking power and impact. I love how well each tonality and timbre of sound, instruments, and vocals are. It’s real life and emotional in it’s ability to bring all things together in every genre. These earphone have the ability to compete with any and every single earphone in the world today, even the Pi8’s and Gemini 2’s.

Now some argue if the Pi8’s and the Az100 are close to each other despite the price difference as far as sound goes. And to that I would say there is reason to believe this. When I put the Az100 on …I forget about the Pi8’s. But at the same time if I put on the pi8’s or Gemini 2’s I forget about the Az100. Bottom line …if you have the Pi8’s or Gemini 2’s …you won’t find yourself thinking …”boy, I remember this song sounded better on the Az100’s”. You won’t find yourself wishing you had anything more if you have the pi8’s and or the Gemini 2’s, if you are happy with them. However, if you are like me and experiences issues with the Pi8’s battery drainage problems, then you might find yourself very well missing the Az100 if you purchased or listened to them but it’s not because of the Sound.

The Az100 work perfectly just as the Az80’s did. But the Az100 did come with an amazing ace in the hole, Battery life. Getting 8-10 hours is just beast. Unlike the Az80 who only could get 4-6 and unlike the Pi8’s that can’t keep 100% charged earphones in the case without draining the battery down without even using them or the 5 hours given to you with the Gemini 2’s. This is my pull to the AZ100. On top of the fact that the technics give very close sound quality to the Pi8 and or the Gemini 2’s while having the best battery life, best Ambient sound, and call quality, means a lot to me personally. I absolutely love the fact that I can make phones call and listen to music without worrying about the battery warning sounding off in my ears like I do with the Pi8’s or Gemini 2’s. This is what makes me reach for them faster than any of my other brand earphones, especially the pi8’s who I can never trust for 100% battery from day to day and even when I do use them and need them, their charging times take FOREVER.

This is Battery life on earphones after sitting in the case for 3 days

Having something I depend on means more than all the other stuff. What good is the sound quality, hype, or anything else if you can’t do what is just considered simply acceptable operations for the product to produce? Ultimately, you will need to determine this for yourself, of course. But for me, I have to say I’m so impressed with yet another successful development from Technics. The Az100 are dependable, outright punch above their cost bracket for sound quality, and competes with what most consider the top two earphones on the market easily. They charge the buds amazingly fast, last long, have one of the most accurate and customized touch surfaces in the game, great EQ, Great Ambient mode…possible only 2nd to apple’s, great ANC, and amazing Phone call voice pick up in noisy conditions…possibly the greatest the industry has seen, and finally connects to 3 devices at one time. At $299…it’s possibly the easiest and smartest decision you could ever make for yourself if you looking for the next Bluetooth device for your life that you can pick up and never ever have to wonder about what any other competition is putting up against it at any price. It truly is the ONE you deserve. No, it’s actually the one the Industry deserves. Finally a Earphone that doesn’t compromise it’s sound quality to reach amazing battery life, or compromises battery life to reach amazing sound quality. You don’t have to pick…you have both in the Az100’s. I AM HAPPY TO SAY IT GETS MY PERFECT DIAMOND AWARD FOR THE 2ND YEAR IN A ROW.
