All this talk about who is the best-sounding Bluetooth earphone in the world is almost like little children fighting over who can make the best Nurf dunk. It’s irrelevant to those of us who truly understand the full weight and difference of the IEM world. Despite companies like Bowers and Wilkins, Noble Audio, Devialet, and others who are putting out great sounding earphones at huge prices that start to tip into the IEM world and playground. They are still only playing around in the sandbox. They are in no way a threat to the world of TRUE Sound from IEMs. There is still so much difference that it blows my mind. It’s so much that I try my best not to use my IEM that much. Their toning, power, and dynamics differences are so vast that it makes me not want to go back to the Bluetooth if I allow myself too much time with it. I mean, come on…dude, I have a DAC USB C on a 4.4 balance connection to my Custom Dunu Sa6 mk2’s! There ain’t nothing in Bluetooth touching this in sound.

And we aren’t going to even bring up Kilgharrah…aka Thieaudio’s Mk2 Monarchs. The greatest and most powerful total sound, one of the top 3 IEM’s on planet Earth still today. Then you are just sinning for no reason if you bring up a Bluetooth earphone anywhere at any cost.

Look all I’m saying is that we need to be careful in our assumptions that somehow Bluetooth earphones “Best sounding” is something never heard before and or experienced, it’s not. If you use the same EQ’s you have on your app for IEM, they will embarrass your belief systems. IEM takes very well to EQ with more details and a better ability to handle higher frequencies. So let’s slow down on the talk of greatness when it comes to Sound quality, shall we? Bluetooth earphones must be more than just sound for me. If all I wanted was sound…obviously, I can get it and never look back. What I seek from Bluetooth is the convenience of wireless with great sound, great battery life, great comfort, dependable ANC at the very least, and dependable phone call quality. This is why Bluetooth is a valuable asset to me and is the reason why the Az100 are my #1 choice for bluetooth. It can never be just about the Sound.
