So I felt that I needed to make sure my readers truly understood where the Diamond Perfect award comes from. A lot of people may dismiss my award of Perfection for the Az100 because they may feel they do something as well as another earphone. And because of this they may want to say that this proves they aren’t perfect. To that I say, you are completely 1000% correct. My Perfect award was born out of a lack of effort from the industry as a whole. I was so tired to seeing all the top brands come out with things that they lied about or claimed was going to do something that it didn’t do when they release and or something that a firmware might fix later. I was tired to seeing half-baked concepts hyped but never delivered. So when the Az80 hit and got their perfect score, it was not because they were the absolute best in Sound Quality and or the best in any other one thing over another. The Perfect award was won because they did exactly what they promised on the webpage. They didn’t lie about battery life issues with LDAC use, which was a problem with me. They didn’t promise to fit shallow concha ears, which was my other issue, they caused some soreness due to larger bulb in the concha. So I got points for that even when it wasn’t my ideal size due to my unusual depth of my concha. They basically did what they said and didn’t have a single issue or failure. This was not ever seen by any brand in my experience and they were the first to deliver things in this manner.
Fast forward to today, and what we have is the Az100 doing the same thing. They are delivering on everything they promised. All these years of earphones productions and nobody seems to know how to create Bluetooth earphones the right way but Technics. Companies like Bowers and Wilkins Pi8 plagued with problems after problems. Companies like Sony, Sennheiser, and Bose has dealt with year after year of different issues or flat out oversights like like of Venting which is a required step for anything that goes into your ears and yet so many companies act like it’s optional. Everything that they have overlooked and everything the others lie about, Technics has taken a different approach. This doesn’t mean that they are unbeatable nor does it mean that they are the best in 1 category or another. Even they are not the best in Noise canceling for instance. But what they promised was delivered. They promised to be better than they were in their company, not in the world. So once again …they win this because they didn’t make a promise that they were the leading N/c in the world, like some do.
They are so good though in everything that they do that I don’t feel like I have a incomplete product that should have been better. I accept who they are and what they sat out to do, just as they have informed us on their website. This on top of being, at the very less, the 3rd best sounding earphone I’ve ever heard in my life( just inches from the top two) mixed with better battery life than any of the top Bluetooth earphones in the world, and the comfort I was seeking with the smaller design, perfect touch controls, and better phone call quality than most others, connects to 3 devices, charges amazingly fast, and Thank GOD, Dependable….means I have something very special. Not only are they special but they are trend-setters and leaders in their direction and culture of delivery. They are showing the world of Earphones what is missing and how to go about getting it. And on top of that, they delivered on this without having to overcharge the consumers $400-$500 like Devialet, Noble Audio , Bowers and Wilkins, and B&O. This is how a company’s product reaches Perfect Status with me.
It’s not a race to the “best sounding” earphone at the cost of every thing else you should be doing for the consumer. So no, this is not a declaration about an earphone that can’t be defeated or a earphone claiming to be the “Best Sounding” yet again. No, this is about a culture, a consistence, and a responsibility to consumers that Technics delivers on, along with top tier Sound quality, class leading battery life, dependable and accurate touch controls, 3 device connection abilities, top tier comfort, amazing phone AI tech, great app and most of all BEST in class Dependability two generation in a row. This is why Technics is the leader and #1. I don’t care about the next earphone that comes out screaming about “We have the Best Sound Quality”. No matter who they are the law of diminishing returns will always unjustify their cost to performance ratios. Be the Best All-Rounder first and all other things will come. GET IT NOW:)?
