The company G shock is worldwide in its respect. It’s one of the brands of watches that covers all sorts of prices but uniquely doesn’t always match the financial status of the wearer. This is the part that makes G shock so special to me. You can find a person that makes 10 million a year with a standard square Gshock just as fast as you find a person working at a gas station with a complex ABC engine G shock like the 9500 on his wrist. It’s the one watch that doesn’t mean you have money or don’t have money and yet respected in no less of a light or value by those who see it or wear it.
My 9500 Mudman is an older model and yet still relevant today. It remains useful because it’s an ABC (Altimeter, barometer, and Compass) model, and most people find them great for any situation. It also contains my most useful features, solar energy with 6 band multi connection for time sync. Watches that run out of batteries are my most hated situation. So the solar power is a must for me. And then my other picky requirement is that you don’t fail at doing your job. I want perfect time recording and hate when I look down and see my watch off by minutes. So the connection sync I get at midnight is so vital to keeping that from ever happening.
It doesn’t hurt to have the other features, too, like a timer and stop watch along with alarm and worldtime. But none of that matters if it’s not comfortable and meets my eye candy standards. And this one does, thankfully. I love the red and black look on the watch and the band with the wrist hills attached under it to keep gaps from happening when you put it on. The watch is also flatter than expected and lightweight. This helps cut down on the overall look of the watch, which is, in itself, bigger than most standard watches at 51cm across. But all this is expected when you buy a G-shock Mudman. Why? Because unlike any other brand of watches, G-shock is known for their ability to withstand most anything thrown at it. Water, ice, dirt, boiled, drops, run over by car, etc, etc. Basically, everyday life can’t beat a G-shock, and this is why it’s respected and dependable, more than any other brand in the world of watches for years and years.
