In the next couple of days another contender will be here for me to do another video and hopefully do a good job and expressing my differences and reasons why I stand faithfully by one earphone in the world and it’s the AZ100. Go check my post for every single earphone in the world, and you will never have me say something like this ever. The attachment is so strong to this product because they earned it. For two generations, they have been the most consistent and top of the class for reliability and truth. So I’m going to come out and tell you that once the newest and “so-called” best in the world comes to my doorstep in the next two days, I’m not going anywhere people. I will do a video to explain what I’ve found wrong and / or right with the latest, and after that, I will move back over to my Technics. For the first time, I’m sure I’m done with the musical chairs, of which one is the best today. I actually don’t care to say this anymore with a subject that is so subjective. I don’t pretend that az100 is the best in sound that nobody can defeat. I only know they can fight the very best, and they have overall more useful and reliable features and operations than any other earphone.
I’m sure, pretty much that the Rex 5 is going to be the best sounding or at least tied for the best sounding. But again, this is no different than the Pi8 or Devialet Gemini 2. Both of those are technically superior, too. If anything, these will allow me to see where we are truly at compared to the wired world of IEM because this is said to represent that world better than anything out on the market and most when they say this mention that they are better than the Devialet in sound…which I didn’t think was in existence. But along with this sound assumed stamp of approval that these will most likely get comes the fact that they are still not the Az100 total package. And until a top sounding earphone can give me top quality in all other things that it should be great at like Battery life, Stability, Touch controls, ANC, and Phone calls, then there is really not point to assume that my ranking will ever change any time soon.
Green Lantern Emarald energy of Will Power might be coming soon, but it doesn’t mean I have faith to believe that this company knows how to deliver on it better than my Az100 as a whole. I’ve already heard of some people confirming that the unit’s has bad signal stability, and that is a pet peeve of mine. In fact, it’s my #1 thing that can’t exist for any earphones. My submersion is so sensitive and required for my needs that anything like that will totally destroy my focus. The second required thing is comfort. I refuse to pay you money, especially $440, to cause me pain. After that the cost of $440 is just too much is my main focus of returning them once I get through making the videos and testing them out to let everyone else know about what I liked and what I didn’t. Now, I can’t confirm these issues myself yet, nor am I claiming that they won’t sound amazing. But you have to be perfect in everything that you promise.
But one thing that won’t change is complete brand loyalty to the Technics and to its AZ100. It’s the first earphone that I don’t care what the others are doing. They will never replace these for my #1 earphone for All TIME. This distortion master, thanks to the Mag Fluid system, is just so perfect for me. I have never picked up these things and didn’t feel blown away by the sound, comfort, and battery life. If somehow the order didn’t go through or the unit was sold out, it wouldn’t mean nothing to me. There has never been a better earphone that has checked as many boxes and just been an absolute game changer. The Mid King, Timbre beast, Tonality master, and Separation expert, the Az100 are and will continue to be my absolute Favorite of All Time. No matter what happens this year with any other brand I ignore, talk about, get it to test, nothing changes for the Az100. It will stand as my #1 until an AZ200 comes out.
