It’s pretty much an exciting time in the earphone world. There are plenty of options to pick from, but for me, there is but one. I’ve been really vocal on the matter of the Technic Az100, the greatest complete earphpne brand since its launch of the Az80’s for two generations straight. Some could argue even before this. The rest of the year is filled with other contenders on the rise or preparing for their next version. Sony, Sennheiser, and even possibly another Devialet is in the works.
But when the smoke clears and all the contenders are done pushing out their attempts, I don’t see success unless the approach taken is similar to the path taken by the Technics Az100(aka Satoru). Any other path taken will result in failure. All brands must respect the consumer by putting out something that actually works. It’s time for battery life lies to end about how long they last and/ or the lack of battery life hours in 2025. Speaking of 2025, this concept of stutters, drops, and crashes in Bluetooth better be a thing of the past. I’m especially speaking directly to companies that charge $400+ for their products. And speaking of prices, my last thing that needs to be the future is the concept of overcharging for very little differences. If you overcharge for your product, you better back it up with more than just a name or a gold plate on the case. No Bluetooth should run over $299, and if you ever ask for it, you better prove that the money you’re asking for shows up in the difference in sound and performance.
I’m talking to you companies like Noble,Devialet Bowers and Wilkins, B&O, and Master and Dynamics. I need companies that can back up what they charge in all areas, not just in name or in one category. Companies need to be held to a better standard. They owe us the best, especially if they charge the most.
The tech is there, the knowledge is there, all it takes is a company like Technics who care enough to give us what we deserve. And if you follow that simple task, you don’t have to reinvent your company to do this. All you have to do is take your time and do what you know is right for once and just don’t hide from your issues and own up to them(Bowers and Wilkins…I’m talking to you).
People respect Technics, and this year, they have gathered an enormous number of new followers of their company, and the Az100 is quite literally the hottest earphone on the planet right now. Why? It’s just because they’re the first out of 2025. No, this earned review after review and release that this product is once again standing on top of the world of Bluetooth earphones with all that it does right and for the 2nd generation in row. The Technics lineup isn’t a fluke. After this release of the az100, the world understands it too.
